I had the same problem, it worked fine for me by first closing open browser windows after the download but before installing.

That's what puzzles me, I don't see a pdf file listed. I've copied (see below)what I received from my contact. She says that she sends this email to about 50 addresses and I'm the only one that has a problem with it. There is no pdf icon anywhere in the email. Subject: Come 'N Take It newsletter Date: Jan 28, 2010 4:10 PM Sorry it's a little late, but here it is. The second page pertains to our upcoming anniversary dance and a list of ideas and items we will need for the decorations. Thanks y'all and Yellow Rock! Just double click on to the pdf icon and it will open. If you want to print it, just drag it on to your desktop and print from there. Please let me know if you have trouble receiving and opening the file. Thanks again! Nancy

Can't seem to get Adobe Flash 10 downloaded.

Hi damccoy, Thanks so very much for responding! I was trying to download from: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/download/?installer=Flash_Player_10.1_for_Windows_Internet_Explorer&p=Google_Toolbar_6.5&d=McAfee_Security_Scan_Plus&os=XP&browser=ie&type=activex I made sure it was a download for Windows XP. Made sure I had enough room to download it. I am using IE8. I only use my AOL for email because I've had it set up since 1997 and I am too lazy to go around changing my email addy with all that have it for social and business. So I wanted the flash player to load for IE8 as that's the browser I use for all my searches/internet activity. I did just recently add service pack 3 to my computer and the first time I tried to download it I had problems. That's the first time my friend told me about this site here at GW. I ended up being able to get the service pack 3 on my second try. I tried a second time with Adobe Flash 10 and then again a third time but even though I get the message box that says it's been downloaded, I see that it's nowhere in the Add/Remove section. Again, thank you!

Going back to my tech support days, you need to clear your flash cache, if you are on a page containing flash you can right click on it and get into your flash control panel that way, there might even be a control panel for it settings>control panels, lastly if I recall somewhere on the adobe flash download page I think on the left there is some sort of settings option there, click on it and it'll have a bunch of tabs. You probably want to clear the cache out and see if that helps. You could also try add/remove programs, uninstall it, reinstall/reboot. Have you edited your registry before? Did you back it up first, to a separate disk? You can do very bad things messing with your registry if something goes wrong.

Need help with Dell printer-GRRRR!

Have you tried all of these: Unsupported Cartridge Error in DELL printers (29/09/2009 @ 16:39:55) The "Unsupported Cartridge Error" message may be familiar to you if you are an unlucky dell printer owner. This message seems to be quite a common issue and is not confined to remanufactured inkjets but is just as big a problem with original Dell printer cartridges. It seems from looking on various websites and forums that this is a common problem with Dell inkjet printers and especially prevalent in printers such which take the M4640, M4646 and 592 printer cartridges (All In One 922, 924, 944 etc). Here are 3 ways to try and resolve your Dell Unsupported Cartridge error message. 1, Run the printer's clean cartridge printer cartridges function. This should be found within your printer's menu system. You can find a full description on how to do this on your Dell printer manual. You can find them at the Dell printer support website. 2, Clean the contacts on the top and back of the cartridge with filtered water (bottled water is great for this). Always use a lint free cloth so that the contacts will not pick up particles or fluff. 3, Download the latest drivers for your particular Dell printer. If you are up to date, it may be worth uninstalling your current driver and reinstalling a new one. You can find all Dell printer drivers here. ** Me again... Another suggestion I saw was to place the black cartridge in the colour cartridge slot, or vice versa.** Here is a link that might be useful: Dell cartridges

Are you sure that you are getting the correct version for the browser you are using, there's one for IE, and one for non IE version.

Windows 8, IE10, its Flash Player updates come from Microsoft. Flash is coded into win8. Most people won't be able to uninstall it.

I Uninstalled it with their uninstall tool - only to panic when it wouldn't re-install the newest version... then discovered it was just sitting and waiting until needed again on a web page.

Flash & Silverlight wont been needed eventually.. they will be replaced by newer webpage coding and browsers that handle the newer HTML version 5 coding.

Are you running or saving the download? If you are running while the target browser is active, have you tried saving the download, closing the browser, and then doing an install.

Have you tried the download from a recognized mirror site such as filehippo.com?

HTML5 is now in candidate release to developers and such. It won't be in full service until 2014. And yes it is being reported that with the new coding Flash, Java, Shockwave, and Silverlight will no longer be required.

" I had to click don't allow15 times just to get t this site "

Sounds like a browser/security setting is blocking flash. Or you have Flash set to disabled in the browser and its screwed up..

Which browser ??? I'm used to IE and it has buttons to reset all the settings and security to defaults. That maybe a simple fix for any browser ... with Firefox is simple to uninstall/reinstall. Figure out how to export your favorites or bookmarks and at uninstall remove all settings too.
