Glenda...? about the reed oil diffusers...from dollar tree

Do they smell good???

I picked up four of them today. I was hoping to use them in my gift bags for my cousins...But if they don't work very well I don't want to give them.

If they don't work I'll keep them and add some more oil.

They smell wonderful, but for the dollar, not worth it!
Bought mine, Sat, and liquid is half gone!Better investment is Pier One, for $7 something. Last longer!

I wonder if the second half of the jar will last longer - the reeds soak up quite a bit of the oil. I know the ones I have (not dollar store) seemed to go fast at first, but the bottom always lasted longer.

When you want a blast of scent - flip the reeds over!

A forest will choke out a thicket, I often recomend that fruit and nut trees be planted on purpose, so that we lock up carbon and produce food for ourselves, and chocke out the brush plants that are unpleasent to walk through. When you go on a hike along a tail it seems that you are always either bordered by clearing/lawn or by a thicket, but once you break through that thicket you can useually travle quite quickly and easily and have plenty of space to move about. The main reasonfor removing trees and brush historicly wasn't to make things more pleasent, it was to open up land for agricultural use. with a field we can grow staple cerial grains, or legumes, or use it as pasture for animals, while some trees may provide seasonal food for some critters it takes alot of work to survive off of them year round (and trust me when I say thing, willow does not taste that good) . Our modenr day lawns were not contrived from thin air, you need to look at were they came from to understand how they fit in. Lawns are popular mainly in the south (sure, lots of people like them, but in the south they are sick for them) the south had a large portion of its caucasian inhabitants come from scotland (the southern drawl is very closely related to the scots accent) in schotland they have huge green field that are kept down to a few inches all summer long, this is because there is alot of rain and people raise sheep. Now, in the south there isn't as much water in the summer, and there aren't as many sheep, but people still liked the look of home so a lawn with mowers and irrigation is what they came up with.

Remember that once our noses get accustomed to a scent, we may no longer smell it but others coming in might. That may be why you could smell it when your returned from vacation but not after you became reaccustomed to it. That's why so many women go WAY overboard on the purfume, they stop smelling it and keep adding more, while those around them are passing out.

Given increasing and probably irreversible globalization, in ten years it may be hard to have a varied diet if one limits oneself to "grown/processed/packaged in the USA." Look at Walmart: they'd go out of business next week if consumers refused to buy stuff from them of foreign origin. A lot of raw veggies and fruits in my grocery stores, local produce stands, and even "farmers markets" do not indicate country of origin. When they get unboxed and put out for sale, the employees may not even know for sure where some of them originally came from.

Isn't the Dollar Tree store fun! One of the Crafting boards I go to comes up with the cutest ideas using Dollar Tree finds. I bought a bunch of the mugs that have removable inserts. I replace the inserts with a collage of pictures. FUN! And only a $1. Makes great gifts for the kids to give team mates, etc.

The ones at Pier 1 are 50% off right now. I just bought my first set. I gift set for me and 1 gift set for my mom for Christmas. I can't wait to try it! I went thru and smelled the scents at Pier 1 before I bought. Thee were many delicious ones!

Yeah, I bought one from Pier I and was disappointed that it 'went so fast'. I even posted about it in another thread somewhere. It turns out that the second half lasts longer and it must have been the reeds soaking up all the oil at first. When I replace the one I have I am going to keep the same reeds from the first one and transfer them.

Oh I tip the reeds, both, from Pier One and Dollar Tree every other day.

Well, you might be right, the initial reed soaking, probably sucked up that oil. Today, it's still half a bottle.

Jasmine is the scent from Dollar Tree.

I love DOWNPOUR from Pier One!

Think I'll head to Pier One, today!

Did the sale just start at Pier One? I got a linen one at 5 below for $4 and then a day later I got lavender one there for $2. Every time I come in the kitchen I smell the linen one and the lavender one is beside my computer. I love the smells of the Pier One ones. I'll go in tomorrow.

Oh, they do work.
The little one from Dollar Tree, smells really good, if I keep the door closed.

Living room, I used two ,from Pier 1, to really get the smell going. They were the larger size.

Went by Pier 1, Sat. and only saw the small diffusers on sale. Others here were still 12 and 14 dollars.

Gonna head to Dollar Tree and get a couple more for little gifts.
