Glenda...? about the reed oil diffusers...from dollar tree

Do they smell good???

I picked up four of them today. I was hoping to use them in my gift bags for my cousins...But if they don't work very well I don't want to give them.

If they don't work I'll keep them and add some more oil.

They smell wonderful, but for the dollar, not worth it!
Bought mine, Sat, and liquid is half gone!Better investment is Pier One, for $7 something. Last longer!

I wonder if the second half of the jar will last longer - the reeds soak up quite a bit of the oil. I know the ones I have (not dollar store) seemed to go fast at first, but the bottom always lasted longer.

When you want a blast of scent - flip the reeds over!

Remember that once our noses get accustomed to a scent, we may no longer smell it but others coming in might. That may be why you could smell it when your returned from vacation but not after you became reaccustomed to it. That's why so many women go WAY overboard on the purfume, they stop smelling it and keep adding more, while those around them are passing out.

Another vote for Lampe Berger!!! They are amazing at removing, not covering odors. My favorite fall scent is Amber Powder. Cant describe it, you just have to smell it. I also like Jouney to Bahia and Fig but there are lots of other scents, and a neutral without scent to cleanse the air. The oil can get costly if you're like me and have 3 lampes, but well worth it. 10 or 15 minutes and the house is fresh again. IMHO nothing works this well. When i cant get any oil to burn, i like Circle E candles in Ambrosia (very popular where i live) and Silver Bells for Christmas (cranberry-orange scent). You may want to look into either of those options online. ON A SIDE NOTE, the lampes come in such pretty designs that you can find something to match your decor and it isnt obvious what it is. Also, the knockoff oils are just okay, but are no comparison to the original.

oh lordy! What a mess! #1 my oven is not level. Half of it burned before it was half done. #2 I must not have sprayed the pan well enough. It wouldn't come off. I banged the pan on the counter, and some came loose, enough to taste. Tried scraping the rest off and crumbs flew EVERYWHERE. It's in the sink, soaking What I tasted was ok tho

My personal dislike of artificially added scents to an indoor space aside, remember that medical advice comes from medical doctors and other qualified personnel. Not from the labels of products or the words of people who sell or advocate them. And that for many people who suffer from allergies, the trigger is different kinds of plant material. There's nothing guaranteeing a substance to be not noxious but rather only "wholesome and pleasant" simply because something is from plants. Real perfume has substantial flower and plant based ingredients. It's all well and good, but if someone wearing too much (which is common) gets on to an elevator with me or sits nearby in a restaurant, it's all I can do to continue breathing. Many public places in my area, especially medical offices, have signs declaring visitors to respect their wishes to remain "Scent free".

The ones at Pier 1 are 50% off right now. I just bought my first set. I gift set for me and 1 gift set for my mom for Christmas. I can't wait to try it! I went thru and smelled the scents at Pier 1 before I bought. Thee were many delicious ones!

Yeah, I bought one from Pier I and was disappointed that it 'went so fast'. I even posted about it in another thread somewhere. It turns out that the second half lasts longer and it must have been the reeds soaking up all the oil at first. When I replace the one I have I am going to keep the same reeds from the first one and transfer them.

Thanks for the 50% off sale tip, naughtykitty!

Oh I tip the reeds, both, from Pier One and Dollar Tree every other day.

Well, you might be right, the initial reed soaking, probably sucked up that oil. Today, it's still half a bottle.

Jasmine is the scent from Dollar Tree.

I love DOWNPOUR from Pier One!

Think I'll head to Pier One, today!

Did the sale just start at Pier One? I got a linen one at 5 below for $4 and then a day later I got lavender one there for $2. Every time I come in the kitchen I smell the linen one and the lavender one is beside my computer. I love the smells of the Pier One ones. I'll go in tomorrow.

Oh, they do work.
The little one from Dollar Tree, smells really good, if I keep the door closed.

Living room, I used two ,from Pier 1, to really get the smell going. They were the larger size.

Went by Pier 1, Sat. and only saw the small diffusers on sale. Others here were still 12 and 14 dollars.

Gonna head to Dollar Tree and get a couple more for little gifts.
