I live in Williamsburg. Happy Holidays to you, too. I'm running out of time. I can't believe Christmas is four days away. I haven't wrapped my presents yet. Fortunately I didn't buy too many.

Oh, no I don't but I do remember going door to door when I was married and lived in a house. And people invited us in and served us warm drinks. I didn't come up with the idea and was a bit shy because caroling wasn't done in 1970 anymore.

Yes, we went to nursing homes also. Great memory glenda. I want those times back.

Funny you bring this topic up Glenda. My daughter moved into her home in a very nice neighborhood three years ago. They started a Christmas Caroling night followed by the "Ugly Christmas Sweater" party . The kids, Moms and Dads all participate and look forward to doing it each year. Wonderful memories being created...love it !!

Our church members go caroling each year. They visit shut ins and nursing homes. They used to go to my Mother's when she was ill. Any of us could go caroling with them, but we never have. They went last Sunday evening.

We haven't gone for several years but we so enjoyed it when we did! Our sorority used to do it, we got names of shut-ins and appropriate families from our churches or civic organizations, which of course could not happen today. One of the fellas rigged up lights to run off the battery and we piled in the back of his truck. We had a ball!! Then we all gathered at one of our homes for a late supper and adult beverages.

Years ago our Theater group went Caroling in a real small town. I remember it being terribly cold, and we were singing outside a house, when the local Barney Fife came speeding up to us lights and siren blazing, The little old lady who lived in the house, heard a "noise" and called hte police. He told us to move it along, and after that we had a hard time getting a song out....we were laughing so hard.

Last week, I was preparing supper when I heard this pretty singing out in the hall. It was a group from a local Baptist Church where our grand son belongs and even though he lives, works and goes to collage in MPLS, he had asked them to visit us when they went caroling. I thought that was so precious.

My youth group at church used to go caroling and it was so much fun!!! We would all bundle up, load up in the back of a wagon and head out to carol. We would stop in a few areas of homes that were close together. Afterwards, we would have hot cocoa and cookies at the church. Such good memories!!!

Obviously you have not heard me sing,,,,if I sing in the shower the city sends a guy up to turn our water off.

They even asked me not to sing in church,,but I told the preacher it was okay if I sing in church,,,cause the bible don't say anything about singing,,it says to "Raise a joyful noise unto the Lord" and that is what I do. God loves it, even if you don't.....LOL

Too cold, and most of the families are gone. I can't sing so just stay home warm.
