Things haven't changed much from Medieval times, have they? Women in trouble still look to a man as the answer because the man has $ and also promises emotional support. Well, it's still true. Section 8 housing waitlists can be years long, welfare is too little and too sporadic and that nursing job is way off on the horizon. Unless Prince Charming is within view, she is kinda screwed. The only other option is to be really relentless about finding good free counseling that can hook her up with some funding sources which are, sadly, few and far between these days. I would start at the financial aid office of the nursing school and the Career Center. They will try to blow you off but keep coming back until they help you.

Yeah, I know it's traditional and weddings are steeped in tradition. But since I've gotten older and have given it some thought, I don't really like that part of the wedding. Please don't flame me because it won't do any good anyway :) What is the phrase exactly, "who gives this woman in marriage?" And then the father says "her mother and I" or whatever. She's not a piece of property to be given away, is she? Well, I didn't mean to take this thread off topic, but I really think some people should consider taking that part of the ceremony out. It's like the vow "love honor and obey". You don't hear that too much anymore either. Hope ya'll don't think I'm anti-marriage, I'm not. I certainly believe in the holy union of two people if that is what they choose. Just my opinion.

For what it's worth.. if you didn't know any better, the beads look exactly like Real MegaPerls, and the Scent is dead on. But... it's like it's missing Oxygen Bleach completely, or it doesn't seem to activate at any temperature (40*, 50*, or 60*). And... for it containing so many enzymes, you'd think it'd clean up anything thrown at it, even if it didn't have oxygen... but it doesn't. It's like pouring in a cup of table salt. What really bugs me... or sets me off though, is even with the German Universal Powder, or German Megaperls.. despite being low-sudsing.. you still see some small bubbles on the glass. This doesn't have that at all. It's like nothing is there. I don't know. It's not like someone dumped something else in the container. It represents what the product is supposed to be, but... it's like nothing is really there, but fragrance.

When I met my husband, his kitchen sink was tiled. And not normal tile--shapes of animals and flowers and things, which left a LOT of grout. It was interesting, but looked like a nightmare to maintain. He insisted it wasn't. I pointed out that he should probably consult his housekeeper before making that claim.
