Hello......someone looking for me? LOL...I have been in and out of here and meaning to post pictures....I get so sidetracked lately it's awful! Anyway I just got some put on photobucket to share here. I am loving my granddaugher and all her PINK! She is changing so much
....it's so weird to see her look different everytime I see her. I see her about every 3-4 days and she doesn't look the same as when she was born and I know that's normal,I just don't remember the boys changing so fast! Anyway we are enjoying her so much! Here's a few pictures for now...

Anybody know anything about these new Nects

olpea: In case you haven't seen it bacterial spot resistance is rated in their catalog. Nectafest is a USDA release out of WV and is rated 7 for bacterial spot resistance, pretty good. Only Avalon and SilverGem are higher at 8. Carene and Ambre are also a 7. So the ones you listed are about their best nectarines for BS resistance. The ones I like of Zaigers are rated 5 and 6. Thanks for the heads up about ordering. I requested an inventory list today.

Does anybody really grow rouge Royale?

Wow! Okra is related to hibiscus?? I got this from seed at Renee's Gardens. The only seed that "took" and then I got this plant, and then I looked it up, and turns out it's an annual. That was a lot of work for a very few flowers... Yup -- that arbor cost me $10. Plus some sweat equity! @rosecanadian - Carol -- that's not a bench, that's my worm box. But I think I killed all the little wormies... Thanks for your good wishes, all. I am watching my Rouge Royale closeley these days. More buds coming! Such a good bloomer already, and in its first year. Diane -- you crack me up. Always. And make me think. Kristine -- I do love Huntington/Life -- but right after it blooms at least half the leaves turn yellow, so it's a bit higher maintenance than I'd like. But it's still quite young (year 2) so maybe it will have more roots soon and can support its blooms without freakingout afterwards. It is pretty and has a lovely fragrance. Okay geniuses -- totally off topic -- not even about roses! But how do I get old tea stains/deposits out of my go-to tea thermos that I take to work?

a good tasting determinate, anybody know 1?

Posted by mojavebob 9/Sunset 11 (My Page) on Thu, Jul 30, 09 at 23:18 So, I took the time to take Carolyn's advice and perused the selection at Sandhill. Yikes. We're gonna need a bigger boat. Korney's Cross is billed as a very unique high producer. Korney? Bob, it has been pretty disease resistant/tolerant too. Depending on if the latest or an earlier F generation, it usually is a mahagany color. A few years ago I was getting 2 different shapes: Here's a cluster from the original F1 cross: Last year I think it was bigger & wider yet, maybe Eva Purple Ball size. This year I got them in late, almost the end of June, so can't comment yet. Fusion was the source for those at Sandhill I think. Maybe he can comment on it here. I would probably consider it a semi-determinate, about 3.5-5ft tall, and clusters of usually 4 to 6. It was a cross of Black Plum and a determinate red beefsteak. Hope this helps.

Here are some photos nearby I took off my Nextdoor. I am very glad we are not this close to the park/greenway! The first photo is a bridge that is scheduled to be replaced with additional construction of the greenway. We are fortunately on higher ground than this. This is "only" about 6.5" of rain. This section of the greenway is complete and was just opened a couple of months ago. This bridge is new. We turned back to local news at halftime of NFL, but there are so many lookie loos out there, it's kind of scary. ETA the weatherman said that the greenways are purposefully built in low-lying areas because they will flood vs. homes. So far no reports of homes being flooded, though they showed some in the adjacent county that look pretty close. They interviewed the homeowner, and he seemed pretty nonchalant that if the water came maybe 2-3 more feet, then he'd consider moving his cars. The rain has let up a bit. Whew.

They wanted me to do the announcement and they came up with the poem..pretty clever huh? She's like a chameleon, her color changes all the time! She was indian red when she was born, then she was a pretty olive color, then red again...now this morning she seemed to be a pretty tan! LOL...not sure if I see the same baby or not!! We love her though!

She also had so many goofy faces from lack of eye control that newborns have and I didn't want to post too many of those! I have alot of her sleeping or being the class clown!

Thanks for answering granny! She is sure a cutie and the eyes on big brother are priceless - he is sure taking responsibility. The announcement is adorable - she probably will grow up to be just like it sounds. Kayla also looks like she has lots of nice dark hair. Just wait until you can start styling it with bows and barrettes. I love little boys but little girls are just like big dollies. Molly
