Hello......someone looking for me? LOL...I have been in and out of here and meaning to post pictures....I get so sidetracked lately it's awful! Anyway I just got some put on photobucket to share here. I am loving my granddaugher and all her PINK! She is changing so much
....it's so weird to see her look different everytime I see her. I see her about every 3-4 days and she doesn't look the same as when she was born and I know that's normal,I just don't remember the boys changing so fast! Anyway we are enjoying her so much! Here's a few pictures for now...

Dear karl_bapst_rosenut, Mr. Zimmerman kindly clarified that his company, Ashdown Roses, is NOT being sold to another nursery. I am positive that forum members comprehend that Mr. Zimmerman is the owner of Ashdown Roses. Independent nursery owners are unsung heroes who are dedicated to educating masses, supporting the worldwide rose market, graciously providing us with roses to cherish in our gardens, and preserving our environment. Furthermore, forum members are wanting their favorite (and also addition of) independent nurseries in their specific regional locations so that they can indulge in the enthralling world of rose gardening. A silly and sweet tug-of-war of words ensued between forum members about where they want the independent nurseries. A few months ago, I met Mr. Zimmerman at the Heritage Roses Northwest (HRNW) society meeting in Seattle, WA. I was elated to meet a pioneer in the field of roses from whom I purchased roses for my humble garden. There were many attendees at the HRNW meeting who traveled from adjacent states. We joked (and secretly wished) that we'd love for Ashdown Roses to relocate to our region. Practical considerations such high shipping costs (which is regulated by the mailing industry) may be a blocking issue in purchasing roses from independent nurseries in distant locations. It is my belief that forum members do not have dubious or malicious intentions to destruct the reputations of independent nurseries. Thank you for sharing your concerns with forum members. Hi all Exactly 3 months ago I started this thread. I had then just planted some STEVIA, bought from HD. Today I noticed that some of them getting ready to flower. Good news, I can save seeds for more, if my current ones did not survive over the winter. Does anybody here know when to harvest stevia, before flowering or after?? Amazingly, my plants did very well. They are about 2- 2.5 feet tall. I learned that I should stake them and water them more frequently, even more than basils. I have just made a dehyrater and I am learning the trade of dehyrating mostly vegetable. I have just dried a batch of leeks, basils, parsley and marjoram. So I am well prepared to dry my stevias as well. Cyrus

Latest project - bay window sill

Thanks again I found them (low stock) by searching for the item number off the old order form. JCP's "window Designer" is saying for window over 100" need two 216" long scarves, shows them overlapping over center window so tails hang down in between? Think I should order the same striped fabric and do scarves (I need to find/make medallions!) over all three "windows" in the room (bay, double window and slider), with the slider one hung at the same height as the others? Since this is FR (casual) should I look for old doorknobs (love that look), so should I just try to find plain medallions in satin nickel to match light fixture and my "cheap cleats" (drawer knob on a hanger bolt)? See the pic of the slider for finish on the knob. I also have 6 birdcage holdbacks that are kind of "U" shaped that I don't think I'll use in LR - so I can do the bay and the window with those, and slider with a matching (extra) rod if you think that will work. It would mean 1 big swag over the double window though - these have been discontinued too (at least I couldn't find them in the store again, and I never saw them online). Does anybody kno how you hang a swag from a "U" shaped holdback without the screws showing? Here is a link that might be useful: U shaped holdback

At age close to 80, living on less than my pensions, my assets are about 80% in stocks ... and I bought some more, a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't watching on Mon., but if I had would likely have bought something solid. Go to "Yahoo", click on "Finance", at top left there's a box labelled, "Get quotes", enter "BRK-B", then click on the box. You'll get a repoort of the open, high, low and close of the smaller Berkshire-Hathaway stock for the latest day, with current and average volume, and there's a chart of the price progression during the latest day on the right. Under the chart box, click on "6m" or "1 y" to find chart showing closing prices, daily or 3 days, for the recent 6 months or 1 year. If you'd like to see the price action during those days, above the chart there's a choice of "Bar" (which click on) or "Line" (or another for candlestick). Or try "JNJ" or "BAC" (Bank America). Or try "TD.TO" (Canadian bank, TD Canada Trust) or "ABX.TO" (Barrick Gold) or "ENB.TO" (Enbridge) or "TRP.TO" pipelines, "ECA.TO" (EnCana -natural gas), "NXY.TO" (Nexen - petroleum), "POT" (potash, a major fertilizer), all but the first are major resource providers, plus giving you some assets based in non-U.S. dollars. But - if the U.S. economy gets a cold, the Canadian one usually gets pneumonia. However, those resources are sought in many parts of the world. If you'd like to see a list of open, high, low and close, plus volume, and dividend rates (for some) click on "Historical prices" near top left. What's better than putting your money into the bank? They wanted me to do the announcement and they came up with the poem..pretty clever huh? She's like a chameleon, her color changes all the time! She was indian red when she was born, then she was a pretty olive color, then red again...now this morning she seemed to be a pretty tan! LOL...not sure if I see the same baby or not!! We love her though!

She also had so many goofy faces from lack of eye control that newborns have and I didn't want to post too many of those! I have alot of her sleeping or being the class clown!

Thanks for answering granny! She is sure a cutie and the eyes on big brother are priceless - he is sure taking responsibility. The announcement is adorable - she probably will grow up to be just like it sounds. Kayla also looks like she has lots of nice dark hair. Just wait until you can start styling it with bows and barrettes. I love little boys but little girls are just like big dollies. Molly

Thanks everyone...and yes I will be watching her everyday in January sometime. Not sure when mom is going back to work exactly but it will be january. I can't wait....
