I am so sorry Linda! I know that you have been aware that this was coming...but it is still a shock. Did you bring her up her to the clinic? They are sooooo wonderful in how they deal with putting an animal to sleep.

Yes, Sandy. Brenda was working today and I wanted her to do it. I was impressed with their compassion. Afterwards, Brenda hugged each of us.

That is so sad, even though it was expected. It's really hard to lose them. It helps when one knows they have given the pet a good life.

Aww Linda.....I am so sorry. It always hurts when we lose a fur baby.....but today you made the last, best choice for your little Tikki. Its never easy...and bless your DS for being there for you and for Tikki......Blessings and Peace..

This always makes me so sad, I'm so very sorry for your loss. We've had two pups cross in the last five years, and both at Christmas time. They have their own special ornaments now. Knowing it is the right thing to do and knowing they are now well and happy doesn't take the pain and sadness away.

My sympathy in your loss. We have three Westies waiting at the Bridge. While it is always terribly sad to lose our pets, the death I most regret is our last Westie -- because we kept him going longer than we should have done, out of our own selfishness. You did the right thing in giving Tikki a loving home and in putting her to rest at the right time.
