Christmas will be too late. I need someone NOW to help split up overgrown pots of tropicals and they can haul the largest portions home, plus some I'm discarding completely. Not to mention the Cannas and Alocasias, etc. which are on the verge of splitting their pots although they may can wait until spring since they die back soon. I never thought I'd say it but I don't need or want anything garden related for Christmas. Am I the only one still with new pots and bags of potting soil, not to mention 20 unopened packets of seed and several unread gardening books ... 'fess up now. I've even still got plants still in nursery pots...including a Dwarf Pomegranate that has 3 tiny fruits slowly ripening. I do intend to get these repotted before cold weather. I think I'm just in the doldrums today, though...once I get this all done I'll feel better, if not by Christmas, surely by January when the new catalogs arrive...lol josh

I would definitely request a functioning remote thermometer. I have one but it never seems to read when the main control is inside. I think maybe it's too far away. And I'm constantly focused on the temps. So it's quite frustrating not to be able to tell what's going on in there. FROM INSIDE MY HOUSE That about a hundred other things :)

It has been a good year for me, finding all the tools I wanted/needed on SALE. Except the Maslin pan, of course, since it's always full price, but so worth it. My 40+ son came for a visit, helped me make Apple Pie Jam, and now wants a Maslin of his own! He's going to need a really big stocking. I've asked Santa for a pocket camera to take photos of what I bake and can for my farm's Facebook page and website. The Olympus Stylus actually has a setting for "cuisine"!!!! LOL MY SIL, the chef, gave me a little potato peeler with a ceramic blade - wonderful for apples too large or too soft to fit into the rotary peeler - it looks like a disposable shaver. On my wish list is a Kyocera Mega-peeler with a much wider ceramic blade that could also be used to shave cheese or chocolate, besides those huge Wolf River apples. The little peeler is on my shopping list for gifting my friends who cook, bake, and/or can, and a Side-Swipe blade for my DD's Kitchenaid stand mixer since she keeps drooling over mine when she uses it.
