A heartfelt welcome Mary! I am sorry to hear that you have recently lost your daughter. The loss of one's child is devastating, no matter what their age. I lost a daughter too, she was 45, but still my baby. It has been almost 5 1/2 years. I promise you, it does get easier to get through each day, but there will always be times of tears at unexpected moments as we think of all we have lost.

Hi, Mary! I'm so sorry about the loss of your daughter. Several people here have lost children. We lost Harry's (my DH) son 4 years ago and Christmas is still hard since that was when he would come and spend a week, or as long as he could, with us.

It's too bad your board closed. I don't know what I'd do if this one did. I hope you'll feel comfortable enough to dive right in and join us. It's pretty slow right now with the holidays, but we have some interesting conversations.

I live in Ocala, FL with my Harry. No pets--too many allegeries. Besides, I have enough to do picking up after Harry ;-)

Hi everyone, My name is Mary & the 1st thing I have to do is thank Lisa for telling me about this message board. I appreciate all your thoughts & will keep on posting here. My daughter was my first born, she was 45 when she passed away on Dec 5th. She was divorced with a 12 year old son, who is now with his father. My daughter had a hard summer because of mental problems but she was doing so good. We don't know what happened & even though a autopsy was done we may never know the cause. My husband & I live in a small rural town in TN, we made the move here from CT 14 years ago. We love the rural, quite life. Have another daughter who lives in FL & she is married with 3 children. They are 21, 18 & 11. The 21 year old made me a great-grandmother this past Feb. I never thought there would be a time we would have to bury our child but only God knows the reason why he took this beautiful girl from us. Thanks everyone for opening your post to me.
