Lots of special thoughts for Jason. My sister had a serious hernia several years ago, but after healing thoroughly, she was back at work in hospital purchasing doing heavy lifting. Hugs to you as you await your hubby's healing.

He's gonna do great and wish he would have had it done sooner. McCloud had a hernia surgery about 12 years or so ago. He was sore for a couple of days but recovered really quickly. Good thoughts to Jason and you Danielle.

Thanks so much! He should be going in for the surgery in about 20 minutes. Annie did go to school today. I'm amazed it's not closed...a bit glad though. :) *wrestling some paper away from Evelyn* Thank you again. I feel a bit better. *removing missed paper from Evelyn's mouth* You guys are great!

DH had his done 4 years ago. He put it off for so long and felt so much better afterwards! He only needed the pain meds for a day after surgery. Make sure Jason isn't lifting the girls til he heals!

OOoh I know how scary it is to have your hubby in surgery. It's nerve wracking..I'm guessing he's in SASK, right? Or atleast not near you..That's got to be even worse..The boys and I waited in the waiting room, yards away..it was tough..

Oh many good thoughts for him! My DH had his done in August and I never saw him in so much pain before. He literally cried for the first week when he tried to get out of bed. He healed very slowly.....he said never again! It took myself and our son to get him around the house for the first week. I hope his was an isolated incident though and things go better for your husband.

Great big Texas thoughts for BOTH of you!!!!!

He's actually having the surgery here. Or HAD the surgery I should say. He's home and on the couch watching the tube and listening/watching the new videos I downloaded to his IPod. He says it hurts but he's so much more tough than me. I'd be in bed trying to sleep it off. :) I got the bed ready for him, but I should have known better.

I guess I'd better get ready for a long week of Poker programs and The Discovery Channel. LOL (except when I take over for an hour tonight to watch Jon and Kate +8)

Oh, I'm so late but I'm glad everything went well, Danielle. Woody's had the surgery twice and both times he did fine. I'm glad Jason's a tough guy, but you be sure to rein him in when needed!

And I'm sending YOU a virtual valium. lol You'll need a bottle of 'em before this week is over. Men. They're either big babies or too tough to take something like this lying down. Either way, you have my sympathy!

So happy he's doing ok...my DH came home and slept for hours. Then woke up in alot of pain like I said. Hope Jason's recovery is much easier!

I'm glad everything went okay. My mom and friend had the surgery, a while back and it seemed like it only took a few days of good rest/meds and they were back to normal!

What in the world does -43 C even feel like??? I'm sure the F version won't be any warmer sounding!

I love Jon & Kate +8 too! Although I feel lazy compared to their life!! lol
