I know I'm supposed to not tell a soul, but I already told my DM and Twinkie - my niece (actually my ex's niece) is having twins and she just found out for sure on Friday!!

She didn't want anyone told until she could tell her Mamaw and her DB. Hopefully she told the whole family today. I found out early and I am thrilled to pieces.

She and her DH are the ones who went through his baaad heart attack and ensuing heart transplant almost no time after they were married. Her mom and her mom's sister are twins. I was afraid that it might be one of my kids having twins but so far, no.

We're having two new cousins! We're having two new cousins! I bet my grandkids are ecstatic over the news. Can't wait for them to "tell" me! LOL

My cousin is scheduled to have her faternal twins in February. Boy and Girl!

Thanks! I'll just keep an eye on the leaf and make sure the chrysalis stays safe. I'll have to move the stem so that it's high enough for the butterfly to have room to hang. I've been raising monarchs for three years and have never had one pupate on the very tip of a chewed leaf before! I am fairly new here, and I should have done a better job of introducing myself! I've posted a few times over the past few years, but mostly lurk. This board is such a wealth of knowledge! I started raising monarchs 3 years ago when I found some in our overgrown garden after we moved in. I cleaned up the garden, let the milkweed spread and we've had a few successful years with monarchs! As I am writing this post I am watching a guy who should be moments away from pupating, and trying to get some good pics. I had 8 eggs, all laid at the same time, so I've had a mad rush of pupating cats over yesterday and today. This year I'm growing parsley as well, trying to attract some BSTs to the yard as well. I, too, was once the victim of a bad tile job in our new basement bathroom several years ago - so I do understand the anxiety of deciding what is "good enough". On this forum after I posted pics, Bill and others said something that resonated - as long as they can do poor tile jobs like that and still get paid 100% of their money and move on, they will continue to do so. Then I realized that if I bought a $50K car and the doors didn't line up, I wouldn't accept it - and they would have to fix it or give me a new car - period. What is the difference? In the end, the tile was done and redone THREE times at the installer's expense. Natural stone ain't cheap. And guess what? I love my bathroom and am happy I stood my ground every time I walk in there. My GC for the basement remodel no longer uses that tile installer so maybe I saved someone else some heartache down the line. Thank you, again, to Bill for being such an amazing resource! And I still donate money to help ensure that bulletproof and stabproof vests are available to police dogs :), which is the only thank you I've seen him request.

Hi there, sorry, but I'm with Agnes on this one. It might be nothing, but it might be something. I just found out, after YEARS of peeing on myself on accident and seeing the doctors about it (who said what again? oh yeah. more kegals) that I have a prolapsed rectum. My intestines are sitting on my bladder and my pelvic floor can't handle all the weight. My docs (3 of them) have always said no worries, nothing wrong. It wasn't until I went to the colon/rectal specialist that I found out this was a physical problem. So, I think it's great if the Mangosteen is working, just, if it keeps up get an umpteenth opinion.

I love houses and getting the chance to look inside, so I kind of like House Hunters. (It's a rare treat to see any of the shows, so I haven't had the chance to get too sick of them.) The realtors can be annoying, because they often seem to know as little as the buyers. I'm often shocked at the compromises people make in their original goal, or what priorities they use in buying a house they claim they want to live in for the next 20 yrs. On one we saw when dd was in the hospital, a couple chose a house weighted heavily by the suitability of the back yard for their wedding. 1 day. 1 event. And after, like other shows, watching several episodes in a row (Is that how cable TV works?!), I had to wonder if married couples ever shop for houses. I'm a traditionalist, so was surprised to see that the majority of shows were with young boyfriend-girlfriend sets. One girlfriend intended to take both of the master bedroom walk-in closets to herself, since 'I worked hard to build my own credit and I'm putting that on the line for this house.' Oh, yeah...that relationship was going to last... Her 'beloved' was told he could keep his stuff in the closet off his basement office. HH Internat'l is too out there for me... Guess I just can't relate, as a non-traveler..and someone without millions to spend on a 2nd home. I like to imagine myself in the scenario and that will just never happen.

I'm kind of hoping that a boy and a girl is what they'll have. This will probably be the only time for them and it sure would be nice to have one of each.

I had my twins here today and it is fun. Also, a lot of work! They're 3 mos. old and do that "talking" to you. My oldest daughter (aunt) just couldn't put them down. Good luck to all of ya'll! We wanted one of each, but we got 2 boys and can't imagine one of them being a girl! You love what you get and you sure take what you get!

Yep - that's sure true! They went through fertility treatments, etc. so I sure hope everything goes okay.

Congratulations to them!!! I can tell you that twins are soooo much fun!!! Ours turned 3 a couple of days ago and that is such a fun age!

Yay!! Twins!!

I have twin boys in both my family (my brother's kids) and my DH's family (his niece's kids).

We'll keep it a secret for you Yaya! hehehe.........

Congratulations on soon-to-becoming a ... a ... well, heck ... what ARE you gonna be??? A grand auntie once removed?

Make sure everybody waits on her hand-and-foot during this pregnancy, 'cause once those babies are born, she'll be running for the next 20-years or so! LOL!
