What's for dinner Tuesday?

Spent most of the morning in Gainesville. Harry had to have his pacemaker checked this morning and have his INR blood work done. Hopefully, that will be all the appointments we have this month!

Tonight we're having grilled hamburgers and pea salad. We need to balance Harry's green stuff since he's on Coumadin. I haven't had a hamburger in a while so I'm looking forward to it.

LOL. We're having hamburgers and a salad, too. I have bridge tonight and was making cookies today so nothing fancy. Of course, we don't eat so fancy here unless we're having company.

We're almost on the same track as you both!
Hot-dogs and coleslaw here. LOL
DH will take a hot-dog over a hamburger any day.

That sounds so good, terri! Actually, everyone's supper (or lunch) sounds good. Robert asked for oven baked chicken pieces again. I basted the legs and thighs with a doctored BBQ sauce (added tobacco and apple vinegar) for the first half, then made a glaze out of that plus apricot preserves. It is sooooooo good! Sweet, sour, and spicy. Also made a batch of cheese biscuits and my cole slaw. He was a happy man! I'm always glad when he actually asks for something in particular....he helps with supper, by the way. He likes kitchen duty.

Glenda, that'll keep you warm and inside until the storm is passed you. Stay safe! Shirley, that sounds delish! Like a picnic--I think you're ready for spring, girl! Kittiesmom, I'm glad you got home safely. Hope you don't have to work tomorrow. Enjoy the sloppy joes. They're always a good thing! Mary, are you in the path of that storm Glenda is talking about? It looks like it's going straight across GA and then head north, but maybe that's changed. No doctor today, just finished up business from Harry's death. That chicken sounds good, Raven. I need to put mushrooms on my grocery list. I bought a 2-1/2 qt. crockpot when they were on sale at Wal-Mart before T-giving. I could use it since my other is way too big.

We went to the club tonight to finish up our minimum since we leave for Florida on Saturday. DH had a half-price hamburger since it's half price night tonight and my friend and I had a small Caesar salad and an appetizer of risotto and wild mushrooms. Just a perfect size dinner. It was beautiful here todayÃ¢ÂÂ¦in the 70's. Played my first 18 holes of golf since November. Shot 103 which is not great but I didn't expect much since I haven't had a club in my hand since early November and I didn't even get over early enough to hit some balls. The putting wasn't so great either and that's the best part of my game. Just a taste of the good weather to come.

We're both off work the rest of the week. This morning, we did some shopping & I worked on the living room Christmas tree this afternoon & evening. We've settled in for the night to watch Sleepy Hollow (it's filmed near us!). For dinner, we had a salad (spinach, pears, Trader Joe's cranberry goat cheese, and blood orange vinaigrette) with French onion soup. We're having crazy weather. Sunday & Monday were clear but in the 40's. Today was in the low 70's & rainy. Tomorrow will be the same. Thursday is supposed to be back in the the 40's again.

We are having Gorton's crispy battered fish, potato wedges and coleslaw.

Walked the mall this morning with my friend, Millie. Also went out to lunch with Mike and then we went to the commissary grocery shopping.

We are going to have pot roast w/mashed potatoes and gravy along with a medley of broccoli, cauliflower & baby carrots.

I was at my office from 7:30 to 3:30 today. For the evening, we are looking forward to watching Celtic Woman on PBS!

Had to run and take GS for his dermotology appointment.

We had chicken thighs in sour cream and mushroom soup, I love that, with roasted broccoli and salad. Was working on our Christmas gift cupcake order for our clients most of the day. Tonight we had to run the 3 boys to the vet for their annual check up.

Baked chicken with sweet potatoes and broccoli, salad and homemade rolls. Oh.. and a glass of white wine. Slice of homemade apple pie for dessert. I finished up the last of my Christmas shopping this afternoon, and we finished decorating the house this past weekend, so we are ready! Doing the gingerbread house and the Santa cookies with the little ones next weekend.

I got home late. Grabbed a box of those Stouffer's stuffed peppers for DH. He said they were pretty good, but he'd need to eat four boxes to get full. They were pretty small. I took a couple of bites of a chicken pot pie and let DH finish it off. Tonight is Runzas. Haven't had them in years. Hope they taste as good as we remember.
