Another luncheon:

My serving consisted of chicken and dressing casserole with gravy
sweet potato casserole
one piece fried chicken leg
broccoli salad

I've been in the kitchen all day today doing pre prep for tomorrow night's Wine and Dine. We're going to my favorite restaurant for dinner but everyone is coming here for cocktails. Also been doing whatever I can for my luncheon on Friday. The egg rolls are made and today I cut up the pork for sweet and sour pork and froze it. I still have to make the sauce for the egg rolls, some hot fudge sauce, a cheese ball and some spiced pecans. It's a good thing I made some split pea soup Sunday. That's what we're having for dinner...soup and sandwich.

Pan fried thick porkchops, Mac and cheese, greens salad.

I used the last of the ham/broth to make split pea soup. Just had that with a few crackers. Very good and will give me lunch for a few days.

Another yoga night for me, it gets out earlier than last night, so I will make a veggie fattata. I will make some sausage for my DH, he needs more than I do to fill him up. I will add some fresh fruit to the menu and pick up some rolls at a local bakery by the yoga studio.

No clue. I am cooking a pot of beans, but they are not nearly done. I'm baking appetizers to have on hand...not done, either. I think I'll start with a glass of wine...a nice red blend, Petite Petit.

Have had a yukky cold and no appetite. Motivation to cook (and sip) must mean that I am on my way to recovery.

Ham steak, red potatoes with left over onion gravy from last night. (Last night we had hamburger steaks with the traditional onion gravy)

Glenda, another luncheon!! Wow! Sounds like fun. I'd love a helping of that chicken and dressing.

Georgysmom, I sure hope you made a list--both for food to make and one for keeping you on track of where to go what to do on which date? You little social butterfly, you ;-)

Shirley, thanks for the reminder. I need to get the beans out for soup tomorrow. I have a ham bone in the freezer and Harry said it sounded good. Gotta strike while the iron's hot!!

Tami, I've seen so many meat loaf recipes lately that I'm really craving it, but Harry's not as wild about it as I am. I even looked in the freezer the other day to see if I had any leftover that I'd frozen, but I didn't see any :(

YogaLady, do you cook the sausage for him? Just asking because my nephew's wife is vegetarian leaning toward vegan and she hates to even touch meat. Not that it's a bad thing--he knew when he went into the marriage that's the way it is.

Today was a shopping day for Amber, Alyssa and me. Amber is still hobbling with her knee so we make a good pair. Lunch was from Wendy's, a baked potato and a small chili. This evening I fixed fish sticks, a garden salad, and I fixed him a baked potato. Too tired to do much more. Tomorrow will be another full day with taking the dogs to get groomed and then Christmas shopping with Cheryl. Patti I read the posts the next day or in the middle of the night. Which ever comes first as I fall asleep early too. Earlier than you.

Tonight we had ham steak, a noodle something and Smokey's favorite...peas. I also come the next day to read.

Raven, we haven't had pork chops--or any pork for that matter, in a while. Not even sure we have any, but your dinner sure sounds good.

Nicole, I found ham steaks on sale (buy one/get one), so I sort of stocked up on them. They are my favorite--not only for the flavor, but for how fast they get to the table.

Sue, I sure hope Amber's knee gets better soon. Hard to run after a little one with a bum knee.

Nita, your cat eats peas? Now why do I think that's funny? I know dogs love people food, but I've never have had a cat and thought they were too finicky for people food. At least Smokey has good taste :-)

Well, it's approaching witching hour, but now I know some of you read this later, I'll respond better. I like to let you know I appreciate your posting your meals--heck--how do you think I plan my meals?? LOL!

I made a pot of Garlicky Tortellini Spinach and Tomato Soup and served it with Italian bread.

We had chicken and sausage gumbo...with potato salad...it was cold here today...gumbo weather in Louisiana..lol...Mary

We had Subway sandwiches for a late lunch/early dinner meal. One of those days.

I'm cleaning out my fridge and had leftover fajita filling from a restaurant meal on Sunday, left over canellini beans, and leftover green beams with a green salad. Then I went to a Christmas get together and ate junk food all evening.
