What great news Robyn has filed, and is turning that page in her life. I hate to celebrate anyones divorce filing but I think this marriage was clearly over - best she is on her way to being happy again. Please be careful not to overdo....that was a very long time not to be using that leg and the muscles will need gradual buildup. Have to tell you, I can remember getting out to weed while still using one crutch, but I ended up on hands and knees involved in my task and lost track of where I was. Where I was when I finished weeding - at the other end of the garden with no way to stand or walk back and no one home. I crawled, feeling really dumb. ;)

It looks like the large panels in the center are the ones that have 2 panels glued together and don't pass underneath other doors. If so, I'd hang art on each of the glued panels. I'd also arrange or replace the lights so that only the artwork is highlighted. If you need light for inside the closets, can you mount some boxes in there? If you have small children I'd paint the doors for now...either the same as the wall or a shade lighter. Is the area temp controlled? Just wondering why you'd need a dehumidifier if the walls and floor are covered and there's heat down there. Can't agree with your contractor on the barn doors warping. I think he just didn't know how to deal with them.

I was just reading this thread, and noted someone suggested an electric fence rather than a chain. I'd like to agree with the electric fence... but sometimes even if they've been trained to stay inside, some times something will call them to go out. My sister in law lost her dog that way. He'd been let out to do his business, but something must have attracted him enough to bounce past that fence. He went missing. My brother found him a day later, hit by the train that runs nearby. That dog was an amazing dog - also a pit bull mix. I'm wondering if a run would be a good solution, give the dog a chance to move around more without getting into a situation like the wonderful one I just wrote about. (That dog had been indoors about 95% of the time.)

When we started looking heavily at homes last year, it was emotionally stressful (as I think it is for most). We found a home, put a bid in, but us and the sellers could not agree on a price that worked for both of us. We were dissapointed but kept looking knowing in time we would find rhe right place. The biggest problem for us was looking at move in ready homes. ( which Is what I was wanting). There were alot that sold right off the bat, ones that had bidding wars, and a few that we did not end up even getting a chance to look at because they sold before our appointment. So, we realised move in ready was not going to work for us! What was nice is that when the spring hit, homes for sale were everywhere so there was plenty to see. We put a bid on another home after it was on the market a few days, and they did not accept our offer. This home was perfect! We were so dissapointed. We kept on looking but kept an eye on this house since it was not selling. Eventually it was lowered to a price that worked for us, and we put another offer in. This time we got it. House hunting is an emotional rollercoaster, but the right one will show up! It did for us, and we were very happy we did not get the first house we put an offer on. We liked this house so much better. Patience is a virtue You will find the right one, it just may take longer than you like. Hang in there! It is great to hear your husband has come around to your side on the property size. That is a great start.... Good luck!!
