Out of the blue my Yahoo Home Page, mu Google, and this page, athough show full size the print is minimized to very very small.

what can I do.

Greetings ... and how is Ted doing?

Look up near the top of the page, select, "View" and in that box you'll find an item called "Zoom" ... and I'm not talking Moses Znaimer, who's been busy lately transforming "Boomers" into "Zooomers", which is more youthful-thinking, I think.

I expect that you'll find a number currently that's under "100%" and I think that you'll see better if you change it to "100%".

Or to access it from this page....look at the bottom lower right hand corner of your sceen. It will say 75% or some such percentage, put your cursor over it, it says zoom....click on it....set to 100%.

In theory, yes. In actuality, mostly no. From one brand and model to the next, most PCs operate at the same voltage, plus or minus a bit, and use mostly the same hardware inside purchased from the same suppliers, batteries included. What can vary in batteries is the physical size, location and type of connectors, storage capacity and hardware/software for communication and control. Batteries tend to be of custom size by brand and model to fit into the compartment available, Also, some brands do have proprietary battery firmware. Can you put a Ford engine into a Chevy? Sure, but the size, the connections and the management is going to take a lot of effort to get it to work. Cheaper and easier to put a Chevy engine into a Chevy. Same with batteries. For both PCs and phones, there are aftermarket batteries for some models that may fit and work. They don't tend to be of the same quality as an OEM part and frequently have less storage capacity (fewer mAh). You have to be careful when you order an extra battery from a third party seller, sometimes there's an obvious reason why what you're looking at is cheaper than what the manufacturer sells.

I hope you're able to get your PC cleaned up. If this is an instance of the installation of unwanted items and that's happened before, that might suggest that your security software isn't doing its job. And/or that your internet use habits need to be reviewed a bit. Once you get things back to normal, if you're not using one already, you might consider using a well rated security system. When you use a comprehensive program, utilities like Win Patrol become unnecessary. Attached as information for other readers is a link with trusted ratings of available programs. The not-free versions tend to be more comprehensive. The better rated free ones are capable but many have fewer features. Getting a multi-user license you share within your family or friends can reduce the cost. Also, many internet providers provide top rated products for free to subscribers. My bet is webpage developer error.... they were probably working from a webpage template that said "contact.edu" and they were supposed to replace it with the actual email address of the person or dept or whatever. Follow the same format as the "realname" ones, but substituting the name of the person you want to contact, and it should work. If it doesn't work, all you'll get is a bounced email to verify it. Some mail servers will notify immediately if there's a bounce, and others will attempt delivery for days before you're notified of a bounce, so send it and wait. :)

No you are not infected. Somehow you simply opened the log. It's just a file that logs the activity of background processes that keep your system running. It is helpful to tech support to access this list if your computer should develop a problem. Basically it's the entire history of your system. You can clean up the useless files but it basically a system that allows one to troubleshoot.

Or, depending on what browser you are using,
Ctrl and the + sign enlarges the print. the - sign makes the print smaller.

Thanks so much everyone. It is perfect now. I don't know how it got changed in the first place but it doesn't matter now.

Sorry for the spelling errors but I was using a magnifying glass to try to see what I was doing and even that wasn't much help. I'm no typist anyway.

Ed, he is coming, but it is going to be a very very long process and will nver be 100%

If the bright white screen bother's anyone, there is away you can change it to a color. It is a FF add on called "No Squint". You can also change the text only with it.
