The media is hinting that someone is going to die in that episode. Well, it's more than a hint, actually. Who do you think it might be? Maybe Lynette's husband.....? That scream of hers in the preview sounded serious.

Glenda - I'm kind of thinking it will be. They typically show reruns through December anyway, but with the writer's strike, this might be it for a while.

I read an interview of Marc Cherry (or whatever his first name is) -- the guy who created the show. According to what he said, someone will die. He said he doesn't think twice about killing someone off because, as he says, this sort of thing happens in real life and "life goes on." He did say that the only cast members who know their job is secure are "the four women." That would be Susan, Bree, Lynette, and Gabrielle...

No, this was not intended to be the season closer. The episode that immediately follows this one has been filmed and is "in the can," but they are not going to air it until the writers' strike ends.

I can hardly wait for it to come on, ive been looking forward to it all week.

I was engrossed, but still I had to roll my eyes....the wind was so fierce that it flipped a car (not to mention stripping the fence of its pickets), and yet the men were able to remain standing during their fight. TV suspends disbelief again (almost). :-)

I thought Mrs McCloskey would die but I was wrong. I'm glad since I like her and they killed her off once before in the West Wing. I think she was hit by a bus then. But they really wrecked the house. It's totaled. The rest is superficial. I'm thinking it might be Tom since aren't all the other husbands accounted for? . Carlos is unconscious and I don't think they'd kill him, but Victor got what he deserved and I guess Sylvia blew away. She didn't stay long. I hope Tobey survives...Lynette gets on my nerves.

Does anyone know what state this is supposed to take place in? I've never been in a tornado but I've been close and this all seemed rather fakey.

I don't think the state they're supposed to be in has ever been mentioned. I did notice the license plate on one of the cars in tonight's episode -- it said "Eagle State" on it. The Sunshine State is Florida, right? The Golden State is California... so what state, if any, is the Eagle State???

"I'm thinking Victor is the husband that dies..." I don't think there's much likelihood that he'll survive being impaled by that piece of the fence.... And just think -- Gabrielle is still legally his wife, so she will inherit his fortune!

Not knowing what hit Carlos makes me wonder if there's going to be a 'gotcha!' and Victor will survive (this guy swam miles and miles in the ocean, remember?).

Edie and Gabby's interaction was funny.
Gabby wanted her money and Edie just wanted to live to hate Gabby from a long long time.

When Gaby told the others that she and Carlos were moving, one of them said, "You're leaving ___________??" I was in the other room and didn't hear what she said, but I assume it was the name of the town. I thought it sounded like Syracuse! LOL It probably wasn't Syracuse.

Do we know the name of the town? I don't think I've ever heard it, but I didn't watch any of last season.

Did I miss it or did they not show previews for next week? And, if Victor is really dead and Gabby gets all his money, she won't need the money Carlos has hidden, probably never to be found....But then again, Victor might have a clause giving his money to charity or something....I've never been so enthralled with a program...I really should get a life!

No, no previews for next week. I thought that was odd. Wonder if that does mean it's the last show until after the first of the year? You're right, I forgot about Gabby being Victor's widow, if he's dead. Surely he is. I can't believe TV would even try to make one believe a man could live after a fence picket impaled him through the chest.

I almost fell off my chair trying to reach for that folder full of paper that when flying off into the storm. $10,000,000 will be at the fingertips of 'someone' if they find the papers.

This show just gets better and better! I had a feeling it would be Victor to die. I can't wait to see the next episode....hope this writers strike won't interfere until we see how everyone is!

That's right Victor IS a husband. I'm guessing he's the one then and Tom will be alive. The following episode has been taped but is in the can till the writers strike is over which I certainly hope will be soon. I like Brothers & Sisters too and no previews for that were shown either.

I just read the cover story article in TV Guide (the cover story was about Dana Delany in Desperate Housewives), and it said that there are TWO deaths as a result of the tornado. No clue as to who it might be.

I think the second death was the lady that was having the affair with the Gyno. The one that went flying out the door.

You can never really be too sure how to read tv guide stories... two deaths... I think it's safe to say Victor is at least one of the husbands. Maybe the neighborlady who owned the cat dies too. Or, maybe one of the children? Tom? Just don't know. I was sort of thinking Orson would be a goner. Forgot to count Victor as a husband. I don't don't think they'll kill off Carlos though. Although then they could bring back Jesse Metcalfe (the gardener...YUM). Can't wait for the next episode to see what happens.

Speaking of Orson, I really did not like him at first, but now I do. Did we ever find out why he ran Mike over?

Did anyone else want to smack Lynette the way she was talking to Ms. McClusky about getting the cat out of the basement? especially after she invited herself and the kids over in the first place? why didn't she ask bree if she could go over there? or to susan's? she was really rude to ms. McClusky and to the lady that was there I thought, I would've told her to find somewhere else to go.

And why were Bree, Susan and Katherine not worried about their kids? Bree's son is nearby, yes? In tornado territory, I'd guess. And was Susan's daughter? And Katherine's?

I didn't even think of that! Where were Julie and Katherine's daughter? No one even seemed concerned about them! And the same for Bree's son Andrew!

I like Lynette, but she was irritating me too. As for Orson, I think he ran over Mike because Mike remembered him from prison.

I agree about Lynette being annoying, but then I'm "one of those" people who feel like animals are family. I remember a few years back, a good friend was having her husband's sister, brother-in-law and their two small children over at Christmas, and the SIL told her she would "have to put that dog up because my son is scared of them." I told my friend she was a better person than me because I would have said "the dog has been here longer and I'm not locking him up." But that's just me.

That's right!!! I'd forgotten about that.

Julie and Katherine's daughter were on a school trip. In the beginning of the show, Katherine is on the phone with her and reassures her that she should stay at the school trip and that everything would be fine at home.

I hope Tom and the kids are ok. The scream that Lynette did was very believable -I can't wait to find out what happens. Let's hope the strike ends soon!
