In spite of knowing it was the last show, at least for now, I was very pleased with the ending. In the past I've often felt things were just left hanging or not wrapped up well at all.

I thought it nice that Julie's baby appeared to be born at the same time Mrs. McClausky passed away.

I was kind of surprised and disappointed that Edie didn't make any sort of an appearance in the scenes from past shows, since she was such a main player for so long. I guess it was probably because of 'why she left the show' though....(bad terms)

I'm sad it's gone. I watched it for eight years. I thought they did a good job tying up loose ends. Everyone had an ending. It was sad to see Karen die , and I do think she has cancer . Hope she makes it in real life. It's a wonder why Edie wasn't a ghost at the end. Maybe she wouldn't come back.

Nicole Sheridan (Edie) is in the middle of a lawsuit against the producers, isn't she? Or did that get settled?

I thought they did a fairly good job with the final show. Pretty much happy endings for most of them. Sad to see Mrs. McClausky go but she went her way and with a bang. She in real life does look bad and has lost all of her hair poor thing. Sad that she is ill.

I too thought they left themselves an opening for a spin off in the future should they decide to go there.

We will miss it for sure I don't think we have missed a single episode since it began thanks to our DVR.

Yes the baby being born as she took her last breath was just great.

Especially to the music of Barry Manilow singing Wonderful, Wonderful. I HAD that record.

It ranks right up there with some of my other favorite finales....The Bob Newhart Show and $ex and the City.

Someone just told me that it wasn't The Bob Newhart Show that had the great ending. It was just NEWHART. (Bob Newhart wakes up from a dream to discover he is in bed with the wife from his previous show - Suzanne Pleshette, from The Bob Newhart Show- and the whole 3 or 4 whacky years of NEWHART was just a DREAM. Clever ending.

Re: M A S H ending. I live near an army base which does artillery testing. They also have an alert system for the community The night M A S H finished the finale episode, TAPS was played over the alert signal speakers. Cool!

It was sad that Edie wasn't there, but the lawsuit is ongoing, so I guess that's why. I'm glad everyone's story ended happily. It was sad seeing Mike watch Susan drive away. I would rather believe that the spirits follow us. A much better ending than some shows, that's for sure. I don't think there will be a spinoff or a continuation. It's too iconic. I think the last scene was just to show that nothing really ever changes.

I was surprised that Orsen didn't show up anywhere in the storyline. I really thought he would appear as his evil self one more time. I guess he really did just sail off into the sunset. Sure did enjoy the Johnny Mathis record to such a bittersweet sequence of events.
