Questions about Desperate Housewives

I missed a couple or more episodes and have a couple of questions.

Do Grace's parents know about the mix-up? How did they react to it? Did they leave town because of it?

So Paul's wife is the daughter of the woman in prison, yes? Did Paul not know this?

Yes, and in fact the 2 families spent time together so the parents could meet and get to know their biological daughters. The parents left because they were not illegally here in the US.

So Paul's wife is the daughter of the woman in prison, yes? Did Paul not know this?
I'm really thinking that it was a total surprise to him.

Anything else?

Gee, I obviously missed a lot about Grace and her parents. I probably missed other stuff I don't even know to ask about. I'll have to see if these episodes are on Hulu or ABC. Thanks!!

OK, I've got a question about last night's episode. First of all, does anyone still have it on tape/DVR to go back and check some dialogue? When everyone was in the hospital waiting room to find out the status on the person who was most severely injured (and ultimately didn't make it), Lynette suddenly clutches her very pregnant belly and looks at Tom and said something. Which of these sentences did she say? "I think there's something wrong with the baby." or... "I think there's something wrong with the babies." or "I think there's something wrong with one of the babies." Lynette was supposed to be pregnant with twins. I thought that when the doctor was telling Lynette (when she was on a gurney) that they had to do surgery, that he was talking like she was pregnant with twins; that one had died because of the blow to her abdomen during the plane crash; and that in order to have any chance to save the other one that she had to have immediate surgery to hopefully prevent any "developmental disabilities." But after the surgery and after Lynette's dream, she wakes up and asks Tom how the surgery went... and how the baby was doing. He responds with telling her that the baby didn't make it, but that the other baby will be just fine. That kinda confused me -- okay, I admit I shouldn't have been knitting a complicated cable pattern while I was watching -- but if before the surgery she was told that one twin didn't make it and they needed surgery to hopefully prevent disabilities in the remaining twin, then when Lynette asked "how did the surgery go" she would already know that one twin had died... So, obviously I missed something. Does anyone know for certain what was said/what happened?

Susie, do you want to watch your real life on TV? Everyone to their own taste; I for one avoid reality TV. And I suspect a show following your everyday life (or mine) wouldn't have much of a fan base. Not all that much entertainment value. More to the point, whether or not I watch Desperate Housewives (and I enjoy it when I remember to turn it on), I respect Irishdancersgram to get excited about it. If this thread was titled "What do you think of Desperate Housewives?" then your response would be perfectly appropriate. But I fail to understand why anyone would jump in to throw cold water on another's happy news and insult her taste in TV showsÂeven suggesting something she enjoys is to blame for society's ills. I will admit that I would do the same if someone posted about a favorite TV show that involved dog fighting or cat mutilation. Fortunately, we don't have those kinds of people here. But if you feel that strongly about Desperate Housewives, I suppose I shouldn't think of your post as mean-spirited. Susan

I watched it and feel the same as Firemanswife....What a terrible life that young fellow had and when you think about it, there's probably quite a few living like that, that we don't know about....So very sad...And like Lily said, actually pitied a serial killer......Very good episode..... On a funny note, I loved when Lynnette stood at the door and saw the mother laying on the floor and remarked, "dead drunk" again?"

The parents left because they were not illegally here in the US.
Had a DUH moment there. Grace's parents were illegal immigrants, and I 'think' they went back to Mexico. At any rate, they left the area.

yes the father got arrested and the Mother and Grace stayed with the Solis(sp?) family for a while then they decided to leave and go stay with family in Texas or Mexico.
Gabby's daughter just recently figured out on her own that Grace was their real daughter and she was the daughter of the other family.

Originally the gal that married Paul was doing it for her mother with the goal being to do something to Paul, then the girl apparently had a change of heart and now likes Paul and is not following Moms orders any longer. Paul had no idea who her mother was till the police told him.

So who tried to kill Paul? I dozed off at the beginning and when I woke he wasn't dead although I thought he was shot dead on.

As far as I know, we haven't been told who tried to kill Paul. (But what do I know?) :-)

The therapist (and Carlos) didn't seem to give much thought to Gaby's feelings. I guess they will now........

Wish I could watch shows on Hulu. We can't do that here in Canada.

They have some message that translates to we "can't access the video from our area or something like that. There is a site where I can get some stuff, but not other stuff- for example, "Glee".
