I like the garden scene at the end of "You've Got Mail." Just amazing. I also like "The Secret Garden" movies, since they make a big deal out of the flowers. And if you like to see 70s interiors, you should check out old "Columbo" episodes. To die for. There was an animated movie that came out around the early 70s, which featured a home with a garden, and there was a lady of the house, and I think there was a letter that featured in the plot. Does anyone have any idea what it might have been? I think there were insect characters too. I wish I could remember better.

Mystery! is my favorite, but isn't on as regularly as it used to be-alas. I also like NCIS, the original Law and Order (even with all the cast changes-really like the new Prosecutor), and Law and Order Criminal Intent. I like The Closer, but can never remember when it's on and there are a lot of 10 pm shows I would probably like, but I go to bed early (school starts early, don'tchaknow). House Hunters and HH International are fun, too. We actually know some people who were on House Hunters. Such a disappointment-they had already bought their house and the other two houses were just filmed for the show. Not sure if they are all like that, but this one was not entirely honest. Too bad.

I stopped expecting to learn anything from decorating shows so now I just watch for entertainment. If I only watched shows that catered to my style I'd be waiting a long long time to see french country! Seems like the more flamboyant types are getting their own shows these days...Donna decorates Dallas, Millionaire decorators. Real Housewives shows may have had a bigger impact than I realized. They've even pulled out one of the housewives and given her a show. Are we entering a new era of decorating shows? Remember the influence Trading Spaces had on programming? After that show became popular everyone started showing the homeowners reaction on camera to the finished result. All the shows pitched a tent in the driveway. They built a lot of crap during those years. Could the pendulum be swinging the other extreme where the designers are as over-the-top as their designs?

And I'm still wondering what happened with Victor? Victor was killed by the picket fence. Gabby was shown sitting with her FIL at the funeral. The FIL tald her she was not in the will, as he owned 'everything' and her deceased DH owned NOTHING. The FIL told her to leave the services, or else he would expose her and her infidelity when he gave his son's eulogy. She quietly left the church without incident. So why didn't we see Tom the whole episode? Tom was seen early in the show, as one by one Lynette's family emerged from the rubble. He was the last one to emerge, and then the family had a big ole group hug. Anyone else? (the other) Sue
