Anyone have a good warm apple crisp recipe?

I'm looking for a recipe for a yummy apple crisp recipe that I can put caramel sauce on. Anyone have one??

From the Fannie Farmer Cookbook, this is my favorite:
5 cups peeled and sliced apples
3/4 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 pound butter, in small pieces
Preheat oven to 350. Butter a 1 1/2 qt. baking dish, spread the apples in it, and sprinkle 1/3 cup water on top. Combine the flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a lowl, and rub in the butter with your fingers until it resembles coarse crumbs. Spread evenly over the apples. Bake for about 30 minutes or until the crust is browned.

4C prepared apples
3/4C brown sugar
1/2C oats
1/2C flour
3/4t cinnamon
3/4t nutmeg
1/3C butter

8" greased pan
375Â° for 30 min.
6-8 servings

Got this one in HomeEc back in '68. I like the oats added to give it more "bite".

I wanted to check back in to let y'all know that you really were spot on about the blackberry being the way to go! I made both the blackberry crisp & Mtnester's Martha Stewart apple-blueberry (thanks again for the recipe, Mtn!). Only my pregnant niece asked for apple-blueberry! The other 8 people asked for blackberry! So given the dwindling supply of blackberry, dh & I went for apple-blueberry, which was very, very good! (Niece had another serving!). We all had vanilla ice cream with our crisp. Thought it was interesting that when given a choice (sight unseen) blackberry was what almost everyone requested. I am glad I had a couple of options though, & it was good to try out another recipe to get some more experience with such things. (Hope each of you enjoyed a day that was merry & bright!). This is alte but delicious for any event. My neighbor gave me this recipe and I made it for a friends shower last sunner. It was the hit of the party! Everyone wanted the recipe. A little different, but very good. I used boneless chx breast. Millionaire Chicken Makes 4 main-dish servings 1 whole 2-to-3 pound chicken (or bone-in chicken breasts) 1/2 head iceberg lettuce (or other crisp salad green) Sauce A: 1/4 cup soy sauce 2 tablespoons honey 1 clove garlic, minced Sauce B: 3 tablespoons peanut or corn oil 2 scallions (green onions), chopped 4 nickel-size slices fresh ginger root, peeled and minced 1/2 teaspoon whole Sichuan peppercorns, slightly crushed 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper Garnishes: About 1/2 carton cherry tomatoes, for garnish 1 small can whole water chestnuts, for garnish Poach chicken in simmering water until done. Cool, remove skin and bones, and cut meat into bite-size pieces. Arrange over shredded lettuce on a large platter. Combine ingredients for Sauce A in a small bowl; mix well and let stand for at least five minutes. Meanwhile, combine the ingredients for Sauce B in a small saucepan; heat over low flame for about three minutes. Remove from heat and pour Sauce B into bowl containing Sauce A, mixing well. Must be a good year for Blueberries. Plenty available and good prices. After you make the BBCrisp and want to try something else, make this: BLUEBERRY BUTTERMILK CAKE *** * 1 cup all-purpose flour * 1/2 teaspoon baking powder * 1/2 teaspoon baking soda * 1/4 teaspoon salt * 1/2 stick unsalted butter, softened * 2/3 cup plus 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar, divided * 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract * 1 large egg * 1/2 cup well-shaken buttermilk * 1 cup fresh blueberries (about 5 oz) Preheat oven to 400Â°F with rack in middle. Butter and flour a 9-inch round cake pan. * Or 9inch square pan. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Beat butter and 2/3 cup sugar with an electric mixer at medium-high speed until pale and fluffy, about 2 minutes, then beat in vanilla. Add egg and beat well. At low speed, mix in flour mixture in 3 batches, alternating with buttermilk, beginning and ending with flour, and mixing until just combined. Spoon batter into cake pan, smoothing top. Scatter berries evenly over top and sprinkle with remaining 1 1/2 Tbsp sugar. Bake until cake is golden and a wooden pick inserted into center comes out clean, 25 to 30 minutes. Cool in pan 10 minutes, then turn out onto a rack and cool to warm, 10 to 15 minutes more. Invert onto a plate. ***I changed the name to BB Breakfast Cake because I found it makes a tasty quick breakfast. After baking I slice it and keep in a Tupperware container in the fridge. Why won't my Apple-crisp crisp like my mother's used to.

The recipe called for room temperature butter. I should have questioned that. Now I have too many variables to do a single test. 1) Cold Butter 2) White sugar, but suggestions are that it doesn't make a difference. 3) No convection, my mother's stove did not have convection. Life is tough, how many Crisps do I have to make, and eat, in order to get it right? I will have to revise the recipe for two portions instead of eight. I remember, as a kid, that my mother purchased one of every chocolate cake box mix she could find and we certainly enjoyed the taste test.... I believe the winner was the Stop Rite store brand. As for location? I inherited the house and property on which I went through my childhood. My mother designed it, my father built it. How cool is that?

This is not apple Crisp, but it is super easy, and caramel sauce would be good on it.

Apple Pudding

1 cup sugar
1/2 stick margarine, melted
1 egg
1 cup flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
1 pint diced apples
Combine and bake in greased pan for 45 minutes at 350*.

bud_wi's recipe is the one I use. I jusr don't measure stuff.

Slice the apples into thin slices...granny Smith are the ones I use.

Place them in the pan and add the cinamon and cloves - just toss the apples to get the spices through.

Use semi-softened butter and add the flour, cinnamon, sugar, nutmeg and oats. Spread this crumbly mixture on top of the apples.

I use bud wi recipe too. And i also only use granny smith apple. The tartness goes nicely with the sweet caramel.

All apple crisp recipes are good, but here are two things I do that I think make mine special!

1 - add apple pie spice (or cinnamon and nutmeg) to the "crisp"

2 - Pour some caramel sauce (either ice cream topping or melted carmels with a little milk stirred in to make a sauce) on top of the apples before adding the "crisp."

Yumm!
