Apple Crisp/Blackberry crisp-yes, no?

I am having people over Christmas evening for desserts following a meal in a Chinese restaurant! I baked a blackberry crisp last night, & my husband liked it so much, he said I should include one at the dessert party. I think an apple cinnamon one may seem more in keeping with the holiday, so I can make one of those too...easy peasy.

Here's the thing. They need to bake 45 minutes. Even if I could prepare them ahead of time, I don't want my guests to wait that long for dessert. Apple crisp served cold sounds pretty gross, yes? WWYD? Skip it? If I re-heat, I run the risk of getting the crisp nice & toasty, but apples inside may stay chilly...?

WWY'all serve at a "simple" dessert party for Christmas? (Remember, we just ate a decent meal, we should be pretty stuffed turkeys, lol!) Cookies, sure. Nuts & candy will be around too. I can buy some ice cream. But-Cake? Crisp? Pie? Other? All of the above?

Keep in mind that I am not an impressive cook/baker/hostess like y'all are! (Maybe I can aspire to be in 2013!) Sorry this is so last minute. Thanks for any feedback.
