Hi Standard65, Yes I will definately take notes and will give you guys a full report - on anything worth mentioning. It is a full day symposium so I would imagine they will give us plenty of material and it is by one of the TX Park & Wildlife experts on Hummingbirds, Mark Klym, so it should be very informative.

Where did you hear or read that? I've checked several places, none of them are calling for snow in Fort Worth. Not saying its not going to happen, but from looking at the radars it doesn't look like any is moving this direction. Even the rain is heading out of the area. I do remember about 2 years ago waking up to a covering of the white stuff -- there had been none in the forecast at all but there it was! It snuck in on us.

I just have to chime in here and tell all of you, I would so love to come; I live west of Austin and could easily come to Ft. Worth, except that I take care of my mom (age 94) and I don't have a backup. I am soooo homebound; it is a lonely life and I so much wish that I could come and join the party. Whenever you all have a get-together and I don't respond, it's cause I can't, NOT because I don't want to. The longest time I can be away from home is 3 hours. Someday when things are different, I hope to join in. Y'all have fun and I will be there in spirit.

This explains the deviled egg thing--the cold got to your brain! Some of us don't wait for the cold, we just "fog out" whenever it suits us!
Snow is NOT what we moved to Texas to see! We're about 20 miles south of Waco, and so far we have overcast skies, high winds and temps in the low 40's. That's about all of winter I want to experience.
Hope you have a merry Christmas with minimal snow, and lots of happiness.

Snow is sticking now. Reports are saying 2-4 inches...
The streets are fine, not cold enough to freeze, Just mush.
Since we are having our Christmas here in about an hour, this is so much fun.
I hope all of you who are buried in snow, stay safe and snuggled at home.

We are East of you in the ARKLATEX area and they say snow showers tonight for us and around 26Â° early morning/ We've had the low temps before but no snow this year yet!!

I just talked to my brother who lives in Plano,Texas and he is sitting by his window and watching the snow fall. We are expecting rain,thunderstorms and high winds tonight,and rain on Christmas day. Wishing all of you a Merry Christmas.

I don't remember ever seeing all the interstates in Oklahoma City closed and the airport is closed. 40 plus mph winds, sleet and snow.

It's pretty much a mess.

Kim, I just got back inside. Went for a walk, in the snow, wind and dark. We walked all the way out to Bryant, were out about 45 minutes. Saw three vehicles on Bryant, and one in my neighborhood.

Sure is hard to walk. About like on soft sand at a beach. Very invigorating!

This part of Oklahoma didn't get it a bad as others, but all counties are under a State of Emergency. What a beautiful (but crazy and dangerous) Christmas Eve!

OK, listen up, Mother Nature! I want DFW clear and clean Jan. 18. I'm aware that ORD can have snow and cold then, but I want our connection to Maui out of DFW to be 'no problemo' on that day. We've never connected through Texas before -- never suspected we might find it snowed-in there.

Barometer is dropping fast here in Chicagoland. Much of our old snow melted during an overnight rain. Now we're to have falling temps and...more snow. The creek beside our house is rushing, gushing, giving the resident ducks free 'teacup' rides.
