It's a girl, girl and boy!!!!

Daughter called this morning and they are having a girl. Son and daughter-in-law are have a girl and a boy.. All 3 are due in April.. We will have 6 birthdays from March 24th until April 46th.. Wow! Grandma better get started saving now!!! This will make "7".....

Well, I have to be honest. The garden feels like a dismal failure. All of my BSTs have been found at nurseries and raised indoors. I release them from the garden and they cant wait to fly away fast enough. Lol. Actually, the girl hung around for about five minutes. I am having my doubts about the egg. It sure looks like an egg but why would anyone fly up and lay a single egg? There was more than enough parsley to support several eggs.

ttod- This is the one area that I love...baby rooms. Gorgeous bedding! My inital reaction is that it reminds me of my Vera Bradley bags. So yes, I think the brown and teal colors would go for a little girl. It has a feminine ruffle on the bototm and the paisiley is very whimsical looking can give the room a cottage feel. I think it would be great, outside from the tradtional pink or purple baby girl BR. For a little boy...I would maybe play up the choc. brown. Maybe do dk. brown drapery panels and a choc. brown carpet....if it is a girl I would play up the white/acqua...this may too much, but for a little girl white bead board on the wall would be awesome. This is making double guess what I just did for my baby's nursey! Good luck, keep us updated.

Joanna, I'd suggest completely redoing the closet with double hanging bar and wire shelving - right now, it's not a very efficient use of the space. The systems from Rubbermaid and ClosetMaid are both good. You can draw it up and then get the shelves cut to desired length at Home Depot or Lowes. There are also kits, but those tend to not to result in as an efficient use of the space as something you design yourself, IMHO. The systems are very easy to install - basically fasten the top bar from which all the uprights hang to your studs, install the uprights and then shelf supports (which are all moveable) and the shelves. You might be able to get rid of at least one of the dressers with a better use of the closet space.

The tub is shown in the picture. It’s in a separate alcove. Blue shower curtain. The toilet (which was the reason for this entire revamp) will be where the white garbage can is. I think the vanity we’ve chosen can swing more contemporary if surrounded by the correct finishes. That’s why I was hoping for some recommendations for lighting and faucets.

Whew! I thought someone was having triplets! My 2nd DD was born April 24th! It's a great time of year for babies!!

Our busy time around here for my DD's friends b-days is November (5 b-days). My DH and I are 1 day apart in August.

Congratulations many times over!

We also have 6 birthdays from the the 16th of July to Sept 4th..Whee.. Mine is the only one that stands alone!!!

Our son and daughter-in-law are the ones having the twins. They have a daughter that was born on April 1st. Sadly 2 months after she was born her Mom died unexpectly. This makes it kinda hard for my daugter-in-law this time around. She is wonderful and we are very close. I love her like my own daughters. She is a wonderful Mom... We can talk alot about her mom.. I just try to be here when she needs me..

Oh, WOW! Congrats on all those little ones coming at the same time! My boy&girl twin grankids just turned 6 and it's being SUCH an experience seeing from day 1 that he's "such a boy" and she's "such a girl" even though they're the same age & raised by the same parents. The "twin thing" is soooo special (they have an older brother and sister.) They had their own language before they were speaking ours, and they cooked up an escape plan when they were barely one (talking in their "language" for a while before they both bolted in opposite directions while this Grandma was watching them. . . .) And then you throw their same-aged cousin into the mix. . . .It's gonna keep you on your toes!
