free ebooks kindle included

I know everyone is looking for free ebooks for their new readers and kindles, this is a site you may want to bookmark they post some freebies there.

just click where it says kindle or nook to be taken to the page for download, it will put them in your library and then you can access them from your device when you sign into your accounts.

One is a 3 book mystery series. Be sure you do check that the price is still free! and also make sure it is free for regular and not just prime accounts.

IF you go to the free series on the same page on amazon if you scroll down (where it says customers who bought this also bought these) there are many listed that are free and many many for 99c right now.

grab any of these NOW because they may be gone tomorrow if later you decide you don't want it then just delete it.

Thanks, Raven! I'm looking at the site now, and just read some Amazon reviews of Bad Radio. Sounds like it has a lot to recommend it--if you like horror stories. I'm not a fan of the genre, but I may get this one anyway.

When you say "delete," do you mean books can be deleted from the Kindle?

There is a Kindle forum that lists both free and deeply discounted books, and great reviews as well. I posted this for the content of the book, Bullying, incase anyone was interested. And remember you need not have a kindle there are apps for smartphones and computers as well.

Download the free (and very reputable) Calibre program and then you can get the library books in ePUB format and convert them to Kindle (.azw) format. Pam_25f -- I don't know why Windows Player is entering into this at all. Download the Kindle book to your computer, and make note of where you've saved it. It's easiest if you create a folder and name it "Kindle downloads" or something like that. Connect your Kindle to your computer using the USB cable that came with the Kindle. Now, open "My Computer" and go to the folder where you downloaded the Kindle book. Now, do the "copy/paste" thing to copy it to the "Documents" folder on your Kindle. Disconnect your Kindle from the computer, and you'll have the book on it, available to read.

Yep you can delete your books when you're through with them. What's neat is that Amazon keeps track of them and you can reinstall them later if you want to reread them.

I don't know if that option is available on books from non-Amazon sources. I haven't tried thatm

You can "archive" your books from your kindle and do not have to purchase them again unless you delete them from your "manage your kindle" page settings on Amazon itself.

I believe that the feature is only for books that come to you via Amazon, a great feature.

You can turn on your Kindle, go to the Kindle Store and search , putting in 0.00 as your search value. It brought up 206 free books. I checked my public library site and they are compatable with the Nook reader, not Kindle. But I'm still having fun.

Jannie, are you close enough to another county to check that library system? That might be the way to go.

As someone who tends to be a critical reader, I find it useful to check the negative reviews on Amazon. If they say the book is badly in need of an editor (or assorted other complaints), I know I won't enjoy it. The positive reviews could be sincere, or they could be written by friends of the author. That sort of thing is done all the time.

You are very welcome. Many times these special ones do not show up on the regular free list, maybe because they are on for such a short time.

In many cases if you have a library card you can access other libraries online to get ebooks from.
Check out that overdrive tutorial.

I went ahead and started the first book too just to check it out and it hooked me.

Hopefully, in the near future, our local library will offer more kindle books than they have now. For now I've got enough books to get me through awhile. Someone, somewhere suggested 'Evelina, Or, the History of a Young Lady's Entrance into the World' by Fanny Burney. It took a ways before I could get into it but now I'm enjoying the book.

When PBS was showing Cranford, I really enjoyed it, but I'm finding the book extremely boring.

Be sure you all go back to that link and check today there are brand new free books and today is the first of the month so even more freebies available!!
I just picked up 4 or 5 new ones.

I will be checking that link daily!

Thanks for the link! I just got a kindle for Christmas. One of the authors at the site lives in my little town. I had never gotten around to reading one of her books. Now I will!
