That is scary but not unexpected. I wouldn't leave anything I valued out of my sight and not secured. There are thieves everywhere.

Conway is the sexiest PUG in the world! Just ask him! LOL
He walks to the store every day with his daddy. Everyone in our little downtown neighborhood knows him. We're going to have to be more careful. I can't believe someone would try to snatch him right in front of the glass store front. *shaking head*

Those Pugs are such cuties. I know DD would like to have one. Sad to say, there is always someone that would rather steal than get one honestly.
I know Mac the Chi would never go with anyone willingly. Miss the Doxie might, but they'd really have to kiss up to her first! Andddd they'd probably return them since the are a couple of brats! LOL

Now this is a case where I can say its too bad Conway didn't bite the guy!!!

No wonder someone tried to steal him, he's just adorable..

Hope the local Sheriff was notified--a person like that has issues and a child could be next.

Did he get his license plate number? I'd want to report that glassbowl as soon as possible, I can't imagine how sleazy you'd have to be to steal someone's DOG! Geez.

I'm sure glad his Daddy was there to save him, you'd have been devastated, Ang.

How frightening. I hope you've reported the car license number to the police. Even more frightening than losing your dog to an unscrupulous pug-lover would have been to lose Conway to someone that would sell him to a chemical lab or dog fighting group.

I'm so glad this story has a happy ending. No more tie outs for Conway, please.

My worst fear is of having Harry, or BeeGee, go missing. They are microchiped, tattooed, and wear ID collars with "Reward" and both our cell numbers on them. I have security locks on all the fence gates, and never leave them unattended. Still, it's a constant fear.

I think Ted was too shocked to even think about looking at the plates. Conway's been going to the grocery every morning since he was 8 weeks old. The manager, clerks and customers love all over him and spoil him rotten. Never thought to worry about somebody trying to take him in our sleepy little neighborhood.
Glad my eyes were opened before someone did snatch him.

He should still call the police and report the car and a description of the guy. C'dA is a small enough town that they should be able to track him down on that alone, I would think. what a jerk that guy is!

He would steal my heart, that's for sure! He is adorable!

Conway, don't even look at strangers! I'm so glad he didn't get dog-napped. He's such a cutie.

Oh my gosh, that's terrible. I am so glad and so relieved for you all that Daddy was there to save him. I'm thinking that was probably a scumbag that tried to take him, but have you thought that maybe the person thought Conway had been abandoned? Either way I'm glad Conway is safely at home.

Wow, that was scary for Conway and you. Thank goodness Daddy was on the alert. No more tie ups on the newsstand I guess. Any dognapping would be sad, but I love pugs so much. I haven't my 2 little ones in the morning recently, which is just as well because I just about drive off the road when I do. :-)

I'd watch him in his backyard too and not let him out alone if I were you.

Such a cutie pie. I would watch him like a hawk and never let him out of my site again. I am glad he didn't get stolen. They have been having lots of dog thefts in my area. You have to be so careful nowadays.

Some people are just so low. I'm glad that he didn't get away with it. Keep your eye on that cute little pug.
It's Xmas time and maybe he want to give Conway as a gift. Last week three puppies were stolen from the humane society after they closed. I'm pretty sure they were beagels.
