Do you visit or have you joined any of the above sites, do do you trust putting such info 'out there? If a member, are you willing to share opinion/thoughts? Suzi

No. It doesn't seem safe and they want too much personal information. Supposedly free, but then most want you to pay $$$ to actually see "who's looking for you."

Don't fall for it. I saw those commercials and wanted to see if any old boyfriends or school chums were looking. I joined "My Life-Reunion" for a fee of (I think) $29.95. There were 47 people looking for "me". Most were people with the exact same name, the others I didn't recognize. I didn't make any connections whatsoever. And the next month My Life took ANOTHER $29 out of my checking account. I called and cancelled but they wouldn't issue a refund. Don't bother unless you feel like wasting money. You know what Barnum said!

It doesn't state Bailey's is closing. It says it's consolidating various aspects of Sherman Nurseries operations, which it owns, into Bailey Nurseries. Following is the article: "Since 1884, Sherman Nursery of Charles City, Iowa, has been a long-time grower and leader in the United StatesÂ horticultural industry, and since 1984, has been owned by Bailey Nurseries of Newport, Minn., operating independently as a wholesale supplier of fine nursery stock. With much thought and research, ownership of Bailey Nurseries has decided to consolidate various aspects of ShermanÂs operations into Bailey Nurseries. Details to work through are numerous, and this change will progress through June of 2009. Production operations will remain in Charles City, Iowa, and will be named Bailey Nurseries, Sherman Division. "For well over a century, the employees of Sherman have given their customers quality plants and superior service, setting the highest standard for Bailey Nurseries to uphold," said Terri McEnaney, president of Bailey Nurseries. No help here, but equally annoyed: Sears shows the insides of Kenmore ONLY on their site. I probably will end up ordering a Kitchenaid through them, but nobody around here has the model I want, and I hate ordering such an expensive item without laying eyes on it.

Hi Cuz... I tried to post on this earlier...but couldn't post anywhere...don't know what was wrong or why it went away... But anyway I don't have an answer for you... Was just going to tell you Dale..(Dorothy's oldest) went in just before Thanksgiving for one of those stress tests. I think he was on a tread mill...and they had to get him off quick because his readings were so high. The did surgery on him that afternoon and put in stints. I guess his arteries were pretty blocked. He had gone in for a physical because of needing surgery on his shoulder. Was a big surprise to him..He was feeling okay when he went in. Didn't know he had any problems. Good thing he needed his shoulder fixed. He got his shoulder fixed just after Christmas...and things are going well. Hope your tests turn out good for you. The businesses in town have these kinds of services. They are great if you can afford them. One grocery in town has gorgeous seasonal planters, decorated with both real and fake elements. But they are tasteful. Somewhat gaudy but that's because they are for a store. Maintaining my front courtyard show garden is very time consuming, so if I had the money, having something seasonal delivered would be very welcome! That's my biggest frustration, I can't really afford more than one look per year, and by the end of August it really peters out, and early in the spring it is paltry looking. I'd love to be able to have at least a spring, summer and fall look. And I've seen some gorgeous winter evergreen things too . . . I can't afford them and say to myself, "I could grow that myself for 1/3 the cost." But I rarely do, it takes a lot of time . . .

I am a member of facebook and it seems like lots of people manage to use Facebook to find old friends...I made a connection with a friend I haven't seen in probably 50 years and it was such fun getting reacquainted.

Jannie, My.Life took $29 a month out of my debit card for 3 months before I noticed it. I called them and they said they would refund $29 but I said I wanted the whole amount refunded and they did. The next day the money was back in my account.

absolutely not many are not safely rated sites at all.

If you do not have the WOT add on for your browsers I would add it, WOT protects you from ending up on bad sites by providing you with warnings before you go there and it has rating report cards for the sites so you can read exactly why it has the rating. When you see the red circles you know to stay away. There are versions for IE and firefox

Classmates.com used to be free and you could click the year you graduated and see others from your class and correspond if you wanted. Then they went to pay and I quit.

One tip if you are a female using Facebook, it is helpful for friends to find you if you sign up using your first name, your maiden name and the last name you use now. Also if you went by a nickname--say your name is Elizabeth and that's what you go by now, but in high school/college you went by Beth--old classmates/boyfriends may not think to look you up under the name of Elizabeth.
