The Kitchen Table

The Garden Web site on my I phone is asking

for a user name and password, and I need to know how to retrieve that. I just click on to get this on my lap top, but now I can't get it on the I phone. Any suggestions? I have so many passwords, and thought I had that one written down, but I don't. Any clues? TIA

Just go to the bottom of any page and send a message via the Contact US link. They can then send you your password via the email addy you have set up with GW.

It is a very very good idea to get a special notebook to keep those important bits of info in. Every time you register, set up an account etc put it in the notebook and store it where you can find it. If someone breaks into your house manages to steal your pc and also finds the special notebook well they have real skills. Me I figured for them to do that I would be dead and they would have a few rounds in them.

Thanks haname: Urban Farm, Matt Suhr and Greg Peterson calendar is the one I have been using. Both calendars are close and yes lets grow veggies site is limited in the vegetables but has a weekly to do list. I know from my garden this year - came out bad, but still working on the soil, city of Maricopa and 11 miles to where I live (Hidden Valley) is alot different in temps and rain fall. I guess I need to learn to work with in my own mini enviroment and keep trying to see what works for me in the garden.I have gotten alot of good info from this site.

I went looking for some info on Hostas, and now I can say I am a hostaholic. From there I discovered the Winter Sowing forum and also discovered that I have a very addictive personality. Now lets see, I go to the pond forum, annuals, Canadian forum ect. ect. ect. I really need help. lol Hubby doesn't know what to do, know I have bags of potting soil stashed in the basement, containers coming out the wazoo, Hostas that I don't have room to plant, seeds drying all over the house, plans for a pond next year and a new garden bed that I'll be starting any day. He just shakes his head. I really hope I get this second job I applied for. Brenda

A little late but... Both the Brooklyn Botanic Garden (www.bbg.org) and the NY Botanic Garden (www.nybg.org) have plant information on their websites. I don't know the answer to the zone question myself, but I think both those gardens have phone hotlines that could probably tell you. If you don't mind going off-line both those gardens have horticultural libraries open to the public, as does the Horticultural Society of New York (www.hsny.org), which is now on 37th Street in Manhattan. You could always use the "forgot my password" link and they'll send you info on how to change it. This would come in handy only if you have your e-mail linked to your IPhone (I have 2 e-mail accounts linked to mine).

Also - the IPhone has a notepad and you can store multiple pages of notes. I use mine for grocery lists, reminders, etc. You could store some of the less important passwords there. I wouldn't store bank info or anything like that on there, though.
