Well yesterday I finally got a call from the Holiday Inn that charged me for 4 rooms and the manager said he would get it all taken care of. I told him that I should get 2 free rooms for my inconvenience. He said he could do one and I said that since I have overpaid for 6 rooms between the two hotels and am going to be paying late fees on bills I can not pay since they have $1600 of my money that 2 rooms is the least they can do. He said he would speak to the general manager. Today I looked at my bank statement online and only one room was refunded. So I called the general manager directly this morning and told him of only one room being refunded. He apologized and said he thought everything had been taken care of yesterday and he would get to the bottom of it today. I also asked him about the 2 rooms and he said no problem! That Holiday Inn has an indoor waterpark so that will be a lot of fun for our kids and we are going to bring another couple and their kids with as well when we go. As for the Holiday Inn I did stay at that overcharged me for two rooms. Well they said right away that they would take care of it, but they still have not. I left a message for their general manager and I am going to insist on free rooms there too for the inconvenience. This has all been such a hassle! Free rooms at each is the least they can do. Lesson learned--I will never book with a debit card instead of a regular credit card again!

Buried mine in a potted plant last night. Woke up this morning to an email asking me to drop off a resume at a local law office this week. (I am looking for work after 25+ years at the same job. Terrifying! Fear and uncertainty these past six weeks have been causing some stress-related health problems. I was encouraged by the invitation.) Dug it up a few hours later and put it in the "must be donated" baggie I keep in a drawer beside my bed.

Natalie Myers just redid her fireplace grout to look more- well i want to say modern, but it’s actually more of an ancient look. you add more grout in between so it’s more of a flat finish with wide light grout. I have to agree about the pink wall. I think there are better options. (I love the deep velvet sofa that Maureen posted) right now, that yellow rug is throwing off everything in the room. It does not work. Plus, everything in there is solid. Your fan blades are too short for the size of the room to do any actual cooling. If you're going to stay w/the fan/light, get longer blades. at least 60" first thing I thought of was a wood slat wall (diff options for this too, c below) and I'd redo the actual fireplace surround in black. either a tile, a marble, Here's a close up of the one I photo shopped: The fluted wall slats like this come in panels that are ready to install. or you can DIY your own. and, another photo shop w/the black slats, the black surround, new light, and animal print rug and a luscious brown velvet sofa. I like this for the fireplace surround too. (or, redo the pink wall like this) some other surround ideas instead of the white: black w/natural wood and leather, charcoal sofa, some greenery, looks so good. On your pink wall, if you do it black (or even in white) you could do a gallery accent display. another DIY you can do on the fireplace surround is a black plaster or roman clay application. you could even do a stone veneer of some sort when choosing rugs, stay away from the polypropolene options. they're cheap because they look cheap.
