the hotter it is.. the faster they grow.. and can become leggy ... your biggest problem.. is timing this out.. to when you can take them outdoors.. forcing them fast and big.. you may end up with really ugly plants.. and have to keep them in the house for 2 extra weeks.. while the outdoor temps come up to speed ... err towards cool and slow ... which is root growing temps.. and if you fert.. get a formula toward root growth.. and low toward flower.. again.. dont zoom them the wrong way ... you didnt realize this is all much more complicated than introducing seed to media.. and adding water .. did you ???? .. lol .. reminds me of my first attempts ... lol have you figured out the best time to pot them all up from the seed flat.. and how you will maintain 200 odd pots???? .. you cant leave them all in the flat.. or you will have a nightmare trying to separate roots ... send me an email if you want a pic of how i used to do it.. i will be gone for a few days.. and dont want to forget.. That is Rudbeckia hirta, the first one might be a cultivar like 'Indian Summer'. A nice plant. Abby, you can post the pictures inline if you use the HTML code link from photobucket. You should "see" the picture when you do the preview message step here. Then you know you did it right.

Thanks, Holiday-ers ...I'm about done 'inside' the house ...now the porch still has a long ways to go ...but I'm getting there...a few framed works to change out yet. Dollbaby does seem happy this time of the yr (her outfit is kept in my cedar chest)...she was so pouty this Summer when she didn't get to wear her baseball sweater! Oh well, maybe she'll wear it this Winter yet! ;-) Dollbaby has her own little 'chest' of clothes & some of her 'toys' had to be put in one of those 12x12x12 canvas containers...so I'm not shopping too much for her until she decides it's OK to donate once in a while! Adorable, we had four of them at our Xmas dinner, two brand new pups soooo cute and a mini Italian grayhound plus a pitbull/beagle. All of them played together. The humans were pretty good too lol.
