Working now.... lots to do after I get off work at 1 pm. We want to run into town and try to pick up a couple more Christmas gifts. We are all but finished up, after shopping in Marquette (MI) on Saturday. Found great bargains, btw. And we still have the tree to finish putting up. We wanted so badly to finish up yesterday, but Gary got a bad migraine early in the afternoon and I just couldn't handle it all by myself, at least not in one day. Hopefully, today will work out better. It's still snowing here too... was going on most of the weekend. And cold too, I looked at the 10 day forecast and 7 of 10 days highs predicted are in the teens!

Renewed my DL online! Yay!

Then making a cabbage soup to go with pork chops & home made bread for dinner. Gonna work out and go to the library.

DH gave one of his pics a water color quality, I sent it off to be printed and I'll put it in this frame with the matting from the last pic that was in it. It should arrive Friday......stressing over how it's gonna REALLY look...

Here in Mn it is quite cold abt 26* a few flurries flying around. I'm planning on going to do a little grocery shopping in a town 10 miles away. Hubs likes (what I call) hard oatmeal cookies, He breaks them up in a bowl and puts milk on them. I usually get them at Walmart 6-8 pkgs at a time, for 98cents. At the store I'm going to, they have a dollar isle and I can get them there, At our mediocre grocery store, they are $3.50 !!!! a package.

Going to a Sunday School class Christmas party at noon.
Then to a funeral in the afternoon.
Thankfully it is sunny and only slightly cold.

Still sitting in my jammies at 12:30! I have either been on here or working on cards that need to get in the mail today. Had to check one more address and got stuck back here again! Now to shut off the computer and shower, go to the post office...... clean house, yeah right. I think I'm going to run out of time!

IGH!! Start really cleaning the downstairs part of my house to get ready for a Sunday pot luck we are having~~buying the goods for it and just pre preping ;)

Laundry, laundry and more laundry. Does it ever end? We got a 3" memory foam pad for our bed and it had aired out for a couple of days so I got that on the bed and the new sheets washed and put on. Had to get new sheets because the others weren't thick enough for the extra height. Did a load of shorts/capris and a load a white. Everything's put away except the whites which are still in the dryer.

I put a Swiss steak in the crockpot for dinner. Picked up the house, read both the newspapers and now I'm taking another break.

I haven't decorated or started my cards yet. Also have to get the California kids' gifts wrapped and mailed. We give them $$$ but I buy something to put it in so they have something to open.

It's cold here, too. Supposed to get down in the low 20's tonight. It's sunny and pretty, though. And no snow, so I can't complain. Stay warm and safe everyone!

Going to put a turkey breast in the crock pot, then work until 8:30 p.m. That's about it.

We are getting chores done so we can go to a Christmas party that is in Austin. It's a two hour drive over so although it doesn't start till 6, we have to leave in the mid afternoon. It is a nice party, done well in a very nice restaurant. The food is always delish.....

I just got my shower and dried my hair so now I am waiting for my body temp to get to a point where I can curl a bit and do some makeup without it sliding off my face from prespiration.

We are staying over at DS's home so we don't have to make that long nerve wracking drive home.....very hilly and curvy road with deer on every stretch of road.

I've done one load of laundry so far. I need to go to the post office and grocery store. I've only been home one week, but think I would have 'no' problem driving to town to get what I need. It's just so cold that I hate to get out.
Don't really plan to do much else today. I may put something in the crock pot for dinner.

I have picked lemons and oranges off of the trees. Will take them to Church tomorrow. Written a few more Christmas cards. Laid out covers for the plants tonight.Brought in some plants. Can you believe that I am living in Florida? It is a little early for freezes here.

You mean besides freezing MAO when I go outside? I came in and cleaned the freezer. My frost free quit being frost free so it was overdue. Went to a discount market too. I am just glad to have a day off.

Nothing hardly at all in the morning, but after noon went to buy ingredients to make chili and then shopped for a few items to put into a gift basket. That's all. Otherwise, staying inside and trying to keep warm, too.

My little 17yr.old dog is going through a bad spell. Not able to stand or walk since last Friday night. The vet put her on Rimadal(sp?) for a week or until she shows improvement. So far, no pain anymore but she doesn't want to use her back legs even tho the vet can find nothing wrong with them. She thinks Annie's pelvis has arthritis and it's flaring up really bad. Anyhow, I'm basically staying close to home to keep an eye on her and keep her from moving about too much. Hoping for the best, but given her age, I have to be realistic.

I slept in because all I seem to do on my days off is run around. Then I had to go to the hospital to get a bunch of pre-op tests done. They took 9 tubes of blood from my poor, bruised little hand. Couldn't find a vein in either arm so they went to the hand and of course, the blood flow started to slow down and the woman called another one in so she wouldn't have to restick me. Well, I wish she had restuck me because that woman bent the needle at an odd angle and pinched my hand up into a bended position, making it hurt like heck for the last three tubes. She got the blood so I guess that's all that mattered.

I had to fast for the blood work so I stopped by Taco Bell on my way home for a chicken soft taco. I hadn't eaten since dinnertime the night before...and I left the hospital around 1:45 p.m. Then ran to Save A Lot for some chili makings and few other things. Took all that home. Cleaned up the mess that Emily made, she had dragged out one of the Christmas gifts with M&Ms in it and tore it open, tried to tear another one Johanna's mom sent but only ripped a small tear in it. She also got ahold of the bathroom garbage.

Left again to pick up the girls from school and to take Johanna to get her hair trimmed. Lauren needed a trim too but she had to stay at school to make up a test. So, after coming back home and making dinner, I had to run back to McDonald's where Lauren walked to because her friends were there, to pick her up. We came home, ate...then had to take Johanna to the high school for swim practice, Maria to Wal-Mart for a few things and Lauren went to get her hair trimmed but I didn't want to pay $15.50 at Wal-Mart when I could get it done for $5 at another place. We'll wait for tomorrow to take her back to the other place. They do just as good a job, why pay more?

Tomorrow I'm doing nothing, other than picking them up from school and going by the hair dresser's to get Lauren's hair done. I'm so tired of running around. I will have had 4 days off in a row and doesn't feel like I've had even one day off.
