and yet MORE snow!

I am waving the white flag and ready for spring!!

Don't ask me how much we've gotten, all I know is we are setting new records for snowfall amounts for this month.

Last week we got 10 inches. 5 the Monday before Christmas and 5 the Saturday after. Now last night it started snowing around midnight and holy moley over 9 inches so far and still coming down. We have a 4 foot bank of snow at the end of the driveway from the city plow.

***I'm having a cow thinking at least 4 more months of winter!***

***Winter started this year the first of November and hasn't left***

Anybody got any Calgon??? Or should I just hit the two bottles of wine left from Christmas????

I would suggest drinking the wine while soaking in the Calgon bath. :o)

Of course I would be sitting by the window enjoying the view and occasionally running outside to play! It hasn't snowed here since 1985 (I know y'all have heard me say that a hundred times!)

No travel advised since 2 am this morning.
You can always see alot but here is some weather cams and road reports...Jamestown and Minot are good ones.

Kimmsr wasn't referring to super cold, I don't think. We count on yellow snow to serve as a green - in winter we toss all our p*ss on the snow (out of eyesight of the neighbours and visitors - a benefit of living in the country). This will slowly fertilize whatever's beneath as it melts. Good for the lawn, some perennials and shrubs. And then there'll be the 'poor man's fertilizer' to look forward to as well. Google the Dictionary of Prince Edward Island English p. 115 for a pretty thorough discussion of the term.

Annie I'm sure glad our snow is up on the mountain and not down around the house like yours ! That's quite a pile you have there. Still it looks like you have some nice blue sky though. And your jeep is just the right vehicle to have in that kind of weather. SharonCb

SE Wisc: Someone turned of the "snow switch" at 3 pm this afternoon. The forecasters are predicting 4 to 6 inches. I know it will be more than 4 inches becasue we have that much right now. Its messy to deal with, but we need the gound moisture. It'll be good for the winter wheat and hay grasses planted last fall. My backyard deer herd appeared early this evening to brouse. They usually come around at midnight or later. Today, they apeared at 5 pm - it was almost dark and snowing. There are 7 in this herd and all came out tonight. Often, only a few at a time apear in the open with the others staying under cover.

into 2nd snow here in NJ, right across Delaware from Philly. watched wind/snow blow until it got dark last night. township plow came thru my little circle around 6 last night. listened to wind howling and things thumping all night. can't really tell but looks like my CRAZY GOOD neighbor had been in and out of my/our driveway several times, so snow at the street looks pretty squished down. had PT scheduled for 3 this afternoon. car is in garage but will still need warming up... pt place is only about 5 minutes away, so teeth would still be chattering if car wasn't warmed up. just got call saying if i wanted to come in at 10:30 that time is open. only shoveling i plan to do is clear room to shuffle from front door to car door. dug out hat that will make me look sufficiently deranged when out in public. if i don't look crazy with it on, i will when static electricity takes hold when i pull the hat off. got robo call from water company!! they're experience more water main problems than usual?? that's scary! i think worst would be if power goes out... keeping fingers crossed and knocking on my wooden head!

You know what they say..........When life hands you lemons make lemonade. â

I am wondering about all those people who sold their snowmobiles a few years back when we were having a record breaking string of warm winters. This was followed by a record breaking snowy winter last year and now this again this winter. With the drifts so high I couldn't even open my back door and plowing schedules always behind, those could come in real handy again now.

The heck with the lemonade, if it wasn't so early I'd be sampling that wine...but its not even 10 am yet.
The snowmobilers are on cloud 9 up here! You hear or see them all day long.
DH just went out and measured 10.5 inches now.
I am working on taking down Christmas stuff........

We've had 77.9 inches in North Idaho this month. Another storm rolling in tonight. 1/2 the work force can't seem to be able to make it to work. If I hear one more time how "lucky" I am to be able to walk to work in this sh**! I'm gonna blow my top.
Roofs are caving in all over the place. I mentioned to boss yesterday that I'm worried about the snow accumulation on this old place. The roof has needed replaced since we moved in here 15 years ago. There is probably more than four feet of snow up there now. He just shrugged me off. But he's not the one sitting here wondering if the roof is gonna fall on me any minute.

I got DH an ice cream maker for Xmas. Maybe he can make us some! Getting 3 to 5 inches today!

Great pic Ms Glenda cruel but good pic....If it was me...I would open the wine and take some outside and build a snow family!! It is nice weather here....warm hard to decide what to wear as the mornings and evenings are cool but day is nice out weird weather! Stacy

20 inches of snow in a week is too much for even me! North Dakota is really getting me down! I don't like being stuck inside.

we had a white Christmas! can'tremember an others! Was beautiful! I LOVE the snow... but that's because we don't get much...doesn't snow often!

I feel for you but you can keep it. I hate winter time. Right now I am sitting in shorts and a t-shirt playing on my new laptop with the dinning room door opened!
I know that probably doesn't make you feel better; so I am just going to send you some CALGON and you get in the tub with all four bottles of wine and ENJOY yourself!!!!
Mwanwhile I will be sending you some strong sun rays to melt the snow and warm you up. I will keep you in my thoughts that when you wake up tomorrow morn it will be all gone! LOL

come to FL we've had 19 days over 80 already and only a few near 70, normal is 74 for dec. we just spent the whole day at playalinda beach (clothed too lol it's a nude beach) surf fishing, even thou it was only 70 today it was warm in the sun and the water & waves were beautiful. ~ liz
