I have 6 guests coming for dinner. I am fixing Beef Wellington, which I haven't done in 16 years. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Hopefully the Christmas tree and decorations will get put up later today.

Just keeping warm, our furnace is off! Luckily we have several elec heaters. This is the year we gave up our woodstove, guess it was a mistake!

I got up at 5:30 (why oh why) with thoughts of the quilt I'm making for my grandson (who will be 1 on the 18th). This is my first quilt and I'm so excited about working on it... So that will be my day. I'll squeeze in my Sunday shopping at Trader Joe's (so I have food this week) and I'm thinking of baking some lamb chops with homegrown rosemary for dinner. Oh, and I will watch my second film I rented from Netflix.

No wonder I got up at the crack of dawn on a Sunday!

I have to work this evening, and I'll start getting ready around 2:00. Between now and then I want to finish making the mushroom-cauliflower soup I started last night, and do some cleaning. IF (big if) I get the dining table cleared off in time (after dumping all my packages, etc., there last night), I want to do some Christmas wrapping.

Well, I better go get started . . .

I slept in instead of going to church; well, until 8:00, that is. Cats had other ideas. It's snowing huge flakes here now, so I think I'll get my Christmas stuff put up, and perhaps bring in the tree. Netflix sounds good,too.

No plans for today. We're not even going to church. In fact, it's almost 9am and I'm the only one up sp far. I'm just letting everyone sleep on today. I'll cook breakfast in a while (or we might go to the cafe, haven't decided yet), then we'll probably lay around the house and watch football.

I have to get groceries, and stop at Canadian Tire for something. I'm also having the usual group over for dinner tonight.

We were supposed to go to Stratford, Ontario, for our GS's 7th birthday party, but DD called to say the roads are closing.

So instead we're puttering around the house, decorating, laundering, and cleaning. ~sigh~

Waiting on the Clothes to come out of the dryer. 10:00 and I'm the only one up. Geez!

I just hate it when someone sleeps away a day and then it is to late to make plans. I called everyone I know to go to a Movie today and everyone has plans. LOL! Some people have a life.

I've got Lifetime Movies on with sappy Christmas Story's while play on the putter.

I'll probably go visit my Mom.

My kids and I just got back from the christmas market in Bordeaux. We managed to get there just before the big crowds so it was perfect.

Because of my chemo I am staying very close to home. Too much "crud" going around at this time....Trying not to do any shopping or going to the grocery store etc. It is a really beautiful day here today though so I have a big itch to get outside. It's also chilly here in my part of TX so I suspect I will just stay right here at home.

That "crud" hit me yesterday, and today I feel awful, so I have zero motivation. Still, I'm going to put a pot roast in so we can have a nice, big, warm midday meal around 3:00. DS#1 has a hockey game at 6:00, which really messes with a normal dinner. We don't like to go out to eat after b/c DS STINKS! By the time we get home it's 8:00, too late to cook. They'll make a sandwich and go to bed, school night. So an early dinner meal is the plan for today.

I have so much more that needs done, but if I get any more than that done I'll be amazed. I just want to curl up in a warm bed.

I just got home from church. Tonight the St. John's Choir (I sing alto) is giving our Christmas concert and we have practice this afternoon. That's my day.

I'm gonna keep up with my knee/leg exercises and do some Christmas decorating in the house. We got the tree up this morning. Sure wish I had some kids around...DH is "Scrooge" and I could use some cheerful little faces.

We went out to breakfast and came home and moved the squirrel cage back to the edge of the woods. I have 25 little Hurrican Ike survivor squirrels and they need to be released.
Tuesday is the day I am planning on doing that. Need to give them a day or so to settle back down.

Well it's a lazy day here...The sun is shinning..the wind is blowing so I'm guessing it's chilly outside...

It's nearly 1pm..and I've made breakfast, cleaned up, the dishwasher is running...Been marking more bread recipes in this book I borrowed from the library, that is on my NEXT Amazon used book purchase list!! I really like it!

I need to do a load of laundry...or two..probably just one...
Waiting for hubby to help me hang ART WORK clips in the boys room...

Thinking about digging up some more Crocosmia's to share, and replanting some of the iris' I dug up to transplant.

Taught Sunday School, went to church, it was our turn to count money afterwards which took us forever to get right, stopped at the store, got home at 3:40, made some chese and onion dip to take to our staff Christmas party at the parsonage tonight. Now I have a few minutes to play. Whew!

We had our photo taken with our dog for Christmas cards. I struggled through the holiday letter and finished it( our year seems so boring!) I went to WalMart and got copies of the picture and then to the grocery store. Now all the cards are together, I just need to mail them.
Dh has gone to a neighborhood meeting and the rest of our day we are just relaxing! Kathy
