Let the (retail) games begin....

First let me say that if you did not complete all your shopping on "Black Friday Weekend", you are NOT now "last-minute shopping" as the radio ads would have you believe. Just sayin. Talk about pressure! Granted, I don't love being out in the stores (or dealing with "will I get it on time if I have it shipped?") in another two weeks, but hearing that ad in NOVEMBER? But I digress.....

So back on October 30, I happened to be walking through Sears (Lands End) and spotted a pea-coat I wanted to buy my DD. At the original price of $129.50, with a few incentive reductions, I thought I fared well paying $96.55. (I also patted myself on the back for buying a gift so far in advance!) Well, Lands End (website) is running a promo (through tomorrow) to take 40% off a singe item (plus free shipping). Imagine my surprise when I looked up the SAME pea-coat to find it has been reduced to $89.99. Bottom-line, I ended up paying $53.99!

Now typically I don't get caught up in the running around and returning items for better deals (my time is at a premium) - but that was too good a deal to pass up!

And I actually ended up getting the 40% discount on an on-sale item for my son as well. I simply created two separate orders and the 40% deal was honored for each!

Happy Shopping!
