May I ask for prayers for 2 today?

DS's gf is having exploratory surgery today. Severe abdominal pain for some time. They know there are cysts, but don't know what else.

Also, and more worrysome to me, is DD's DMIL. She was hospitalized with pneumonia a few nights ago. They thought she would be coming home as soon as they got her re-hydrated. They have done tests and found a spot they THINK is pneumonia, on the upper left lobe of the lung. They are making very sure before sending her home, but as of last night, she is still in. Please God, not another one.

And two deaths this past weekend from our church family.

I'm sorry, Gellchom. You are so sweet to ask. I started a new thread "Update on Anna" since this one was getting quite lengthy. She got the results from the Pet scan on Wednesday of this week. It showed a spot on her spine that could possibly be the result of an old injury, which she doesn't remember having, but at any rate they are going to do an MRI on April 2nd. She will see the oncologist on April 17th and learn the results then. I'm hanging on to the thought that she fell down a complete flight of stairs at home a few years ago and hit the wall in front of her with her left foot. Tore her heel all to pieces and she has a brass plate and screws in it. She was off work for several weeks. Nothing was said about a back injury at the time, but????? I have not mentioned this to her. False hope is not a good thing, I'm afraid. Thanks again. jude

Her name is Haley, she is 8 years old. She,and her siblings were spending the summer with Grandma and Grandpa in Montana. She got an Ear infection the somehow progressed to bacterial meningitis. They had to fly her to a children's hospital in Salt Lake City. Last update from yesterday evening: They're worried about pressure in spine causing decreased abilit to move arms and legs. You do know that, with Kasey, being clean is only the first step. She will need long term counseling to realize how and why she fell for a controlling and abusive partner, and how to avoid it in the future. Telling her is not enough, she has to recognize it for herself in order to avoid it happening again. All you can do is support her, and we all can pray for strength for her to be successful. I hope and pray that you can retain contact with her children, but they will also need professional help to avoid the same path Kasey has taken (and hopefully can change course). Prayers for you all.

Thank you all, they are heading to Colorado tomorrow morning. The dad is battling lymphoma, just finished his last round of chemo and was to start radiation this week. I hope this doesn't set him back. This just breaks my heart.

Thank you all. DS says gf is doing great. Surgery went well. Lots of scar tissue from cysts. The one existing cyst was removed. She is home, again. Hope we get as good news for dd's dmil.

It's late this Thursday and you have had one blessing. I hope your daughter's MIL will be fine soon. It takes a while to heal a lung.

I'm still waiting on news for DD's MIL. Thank you all so much. And know that all of you are in my prayers daily. And that is all of you, not just those who are ill! I pray that you are all safe and healthy each day.

It seems like God always answers when I pray for others, not so much when I ask for myself. KT prayers helped my cousin Joyce when she fell and broke her hip, then had a heart attack the next day. Also helped her sister Judy when she had a heart blockage and needed surgery on December 24 a couple years ago.
