Stacy...I'm adding my Prayers! Are you 100% sure that Kasey will be in good enough condition to show up at court? What (if anything) will happen if she doesn't?

I am so sorry al of you are having to go through this. Hopefully, after tomorrow, Lee will be out of the picture completely for a LONG LONG time!!

Thanks everyone.....I did text Kasey tonight she said she is clean....she has never lied to her dhs worker before an she also told me Kase is clean...maybe maybe she is really ready to leave the life of abuse and drugs?? I can only pray and hope.....I asked her was it still okay that I go and show mysupport to her and she said yes..(big step forward here)....
I did talk to someone tonight and if they terminate her rights they do try and place the kids with tribal members which means a big fight against the tribe which I researched and will probably loose but will still get rights to see the kids in one way I understand they are trying to keep the heritage going and in the other way (on my side) I hate it...I love it that they will learn their heritage but hate that maybe we couldn't be there for them....Stacy

Thanks Patti it is...I hate to but Tanner knows some of it....Sydney has been in vegas and ca. and knows a little didn't want to ruin her fun....she got home this afternoon and tomorrow I have to shatter her fun times and see if she want's to support her sister in court...this is the reason I have also tried to show tough love to kasey for what it would do to the other kids...but I also know that if Kasey sees her brother an sister in court she will do even better then if she just sees me....If I could shield my babies I would but it is now out of my hands and knowing the courts are involved I have to involve them....for the plain simple reason first off is it will be in the newspaper an secondly it is becuz of my stupid little scuttlebut town that thrives on dang gossip....

My thoughts are with you and your family Stacy. I hope all goes well in court tomorrow.

Is this family court or criminal court? I am confused. If Lee is going to prison for criminal counts doesn't he get a trial by jury? Why is he free and not in jail? How did he make bail?

Personally I would not shield Sydney and Tanner from the facts. Sydney is a grown women now and Tanner is more a young man than a boy. I think sugar-coating does more harm than good. Your family has a long road ahead of a lot of hard "stuff" even if Kasey complies with the terms and is a model rehab client. This is a time for all to pull together.

I've been catching up on posts today. I hope all goes well in court tomorrow and that it is a step toward a better life for Kasey and her kids.

Stacey I cannot imagine the anguish that is your life right now. Kasey is in the fight of her life right now.Her kids need her to be there for them. I will be praying she does the right thing from here on . Stay strong.

I'll be thinking of all of you Stacey and hoping this is the turning point for Kasey. I can't imagine the pain and stress you are under right now, hang in there, you know she and the kids are worth every effort you make to see to it that they all become a healthy happy family (without Lee)
Please keep posting, we have lots of "big shoulders" here when you need to cry, scream, shout,etc.

You do know that, with Kasey, being clean is only the first step.
She will need long term counseling to realize how and why she fell for a controlling and abusive partner, and how to avoid it in the future. Telling her is not enough, she has to recognize it for herself in order to avoid it happening again.

All you can do is support her, and we all can pray for strength for her to be successful.

I hope and pray that you can retain contact with her children, but they will also need professional help to avoid the same path Kasey has taken (and hopefully can change course).

Stacy, I am so sorry this has happened to Kasey and her family. I can't remember if she married Lee....I might figure it out from these post, but I'm catchin up right now.
Either way, I think those grandchildren are beautiful.

I wish the very best for them. I hate to think how many
people....grandparents and all are dealing with this very same situation all across the country. It is horrible.

It really can get crazy and with the tribe involved it is
another fact to deal with.
