night light sale

NIGHT-LIGHT SALE. This is the time of year I write a note to myself to buy up a batch of Christmas light bulbs as soon as they go on sale. Then IÂve got my annual supply of replacement bulbs for my night-lights at a huge discount! I just keep a small box of them in the pantry for quick and easy replacements.

I usually pick mine up at the Dollar Tree or some other discount place whenever I see them.

Recently I picked up a 4 pack of the LED Night Lights (WM about $5).
They use up to 95% less electricity
Last up to 14 years
Cool to the touch
Mercury free.

At the bottom of the package it says Lifetime Guarantee...yet they last up to 14 years? Figure that one out. Made in China...could that be it?

I've seen the regular nightlights yellow the walls over time even though they are on an 'eye' to go out during the light time hours. Hopefully these won't do that.

I was going to use some Christmas bulbs for my nightlight, but changed my mind when I put one in and it started blinking! It didn't say it was a blinker on the package either.

I raise violets for show and for sale of leaves. I have 6 stands in the plant room. Since having all six stands lit at the same time makes too much heat, especially in winter, I have my light stands on timers and some are on during part of the night so I would say that a plant can bloom very well even with a porch light on. GE over-the-stove microwave light/night light

We have a GE microwave (over the stove type), model number JVM1660WB005. I bought the unit new 7 years ago, it was used for 3 years and has been in storage the past 4 years. We installed the unit in our new-to-us home and when I turned on the light/night light the bulb "popped" (didn't break the bulb but sounded like a small explosion) and it broke the glass cover on the side that "popped." I couldn't unscrew the bulbs so I had to break the bulb off the base and then I used needle nose pliers to remove the base of the bulbs. Two small pieces of the black holder for the light bulb broke off both holders. I replaced both bulbs but the lights don't work. I ordered replacement lamp holders and just installed those and the light(s) still don't work. What should I do next? The light/night light feature of this microwave is one of my favorite features. Thanks!

What he is saying is if you run a 14/3 for instance and use all three wires as hots. The run a separate 14/2 for the neutral. That IS a violation. It is not a violation if you keep the neutral separate in the fan unit. IE: Run a 14/3 to the light and night light and share the neutral. Then run a 14/2 to wire the fan separately using the white and black. It's all in how you wire it, not in how you feed it. In any case, 14/4, or 14/2/2,and the same in #12 is available at a real supply house. Even most home centers carry several forms of this "4-wire" cable.

Raye, I am absolutely positive that if the lights gave them headaches i would hear about it endlessly. As I said those people who whine LOVE to do so about anything and everything they can. So if they had a solid medical reason to complain they would without hesitation. They turn them on because they are fuddy duddies which is not a medical condition but a character flaw. How do I know? For years there was an orange tabby cat named Joe at the facility. Some of us would let him in the office to sleep or hang out from time to time. The night fuddy duddy did not know this for around 6 months. When he found out,all of a sudden he feigned an allergy to cats. I still let the cat in. I do have an allergy to cats,a pretty severe one and simply took a Claritin every day. Didnt bother me.I told night fuddy duddy I stopped letting him in. Magicaly his deathly cat allergy didnt bother him anymore when he didn't think there was something to back it up. (He has 3 cats in his home now, btw. They belong to his grandaughter, who lives with him. This was a few years ago and he denies any of it happened) This man has had every joint replaced or tuned up in the years I have been there. And I JUST worked two of HIS shifts in a row because he got a flu shot and now thinks he's is on deaths door. If the lights gave him a headache, I would know about it. He calls me at least twice a week while I am at work to list his ailments. The day fuddy duddy decorates her own home and was VERY proud of her tree which rotates and changes colors and has several different light patterns. She only makes snide comments about MY decor. As I said before, she has a difficult and undesirable personality that leads her to disparage others efforts for whatever reason. And that does not apply to just me or my decor. Anything positive or fun that any of us try to do she has something nasty to say about it. Its. WEIRD. Besides, both of them declare they LOVE the decor and look forward to it and ask me when it's going up. Then it goes up, and the mood changes..... Tell you what. I'll mention your headache suggestion to them. They probably just haven't thought of it,as it doesn't apply to them. The would LOVE another reason to complain. Even if it's a lie.

Exactly the same here. But the Christmas bulbs are colored,so it looks a little odd to have a red or blue nightlight next to your bed.

Walmart always has the clear bulbs. Four bulbs to a package and they get marked down to 10 cents.
I think I still have about 6 packages I bought last year.
I never buy regular night light bulbs.

Just had to laugh at the thought of this night light blinking off and on....knowing me I think my first thought would be that something is wrong with the outlet. I have the night lights all over the house because my fear is...are you ready for this....the dark! So my whole house would be blinking off and on, hopefully in time with each other....LOL

Blue is for when you have the blues ...

... red for when you're feeling hot.

Intermittent is for when you're not quite sure whether you're in that condition or not.

Can you imagine the jerky steps of someone walking through the house ... to the tune of blinking lights?

And if you think that they'll all bling in unison ... you're dreaming in technicolour!

(Sorry, I hit the rong key ... but thought it too good to edit.) Well ... maybe you're just an optimist!

Except when I (rarely) have a guest, I hardly ever use a night light. Light from the yard light shines into the bedroom(s) and the bathrooom, so offers general guidance. I pretty well know where the pathways are.

Good wishes for being well lit, late at night, everyone. But ... if you're that well "lit" - please don't drive!

DS is a big Thomas Kincaid fan, and found him a beautiful night light at Kirkland's!
