Yeah, the Victory splays out the scapes like that, and I had to take steps to control them. I mean, they are blocking my pathways. Can you see in this picture where I used part of a bamboo pole and a hair clip (like they use to hold up orchid sprays) to control the extra long scapes? I wonder if the originator (Solberg?) named it Victory because of the "V" shape. And earlier on, when the scapes were beginning to get long, I worried about breaking them off as I walked by. Hence Victory had to be moved to the new spot under the RED umbrella.

Surerly some of the brainy folks (or ones with good memories) around here can come up with some worthy additions. Can't think of one, myself. ole joyful P.S. Librarian just gave one seen at the local Presbyterian Church, "Whoever parks here ... ... preaches!". o j

i like the "keep calm and carry on" sign i keep running across on the houzz website. it's a british world war two poster and i have it on my amazon wish list. lots of other posters on amazon. also if you have a marshalls, home goods or tj maxx around, they often carry those board signs with sayings ;)

There was a sign on a road during road repair made of individual words so that the message could be changed. One word blew away in the wind and what remained was "This ramp be closed" I only wished I could have added "And if you be using it you be in trouble"
