First, we are assuming the surgeon is talented. I think I would have my saggy eyelids done. They make me FEEL tired some times. At this point in life, I am old and that is it. But seeing well and feeling better would be good. Though the saggy eyelids don't interfere now with sight, I guess they will if they get any worse.

Not likely, I have been offered breast reconstruction many times, but I've burned the bra. Lipo suction wouldn't do me any good...I'd recreate the fat. My facial wrinkles suit my age. I'm happy the way I am and if someone doesn't like it....tough!

Naw, already had some, back in 1977, after my car accident. Had the scars reduced. They aren't really visible... and it's good enough.

I turned down an opportunity to have a "nose alteration". The surgeon who offered to do it went on to become President of the Facial Plastics Association. He was a resident/fellow in the clinic that I worked in at the time. He was always very talented and now has become very expensive. Regrets......no! I've seen many noses that I would want to do something about but I'll keep mine as it is. I've also seen a few "corrections" that I would really have been unhappy about.

No. Too many beautiful faces have been ruined by cosmetic surgery. There is too much risk lookswise and health wise. I wouldn't want the pain either.

I would have the turkey waddle removed and the wrinkles on my neck, but would not want my face touched.

Not to my face. I would like an upper arm lift though. May actually do it someday if they come up with a way to do it with less scarring.

Not right now, but I will probably do some sort of face surgery some day when the sagging gets bad. But good genes run in my family, so maybe won't need it. My Mom is almost 80 and is beautiful. Wildchild, I could also use the upper arm lift but I don't think I could stand the pain.

I would have my upper arms done. I have had my eyes lifted and liked the result but I swear I think it could be done again and it has been only 4 years.

Years ago, I might have had a breast reduction. I'm not sure I'd go for it now. I'm not sure the pain of surgery would be worth the results to me.

Now, if I was offered electrolysis to remove all unwanted hair from my body... I think I'd go for it! Does that qualify?

No....I consider general anesthetic an unnecessary risk and I have a tenancy to develop keloid scars.

I already had my eyes done and love the way it looks! I keep thinking I may have my neck (or what used to be my neck) done if it didn't cost so darn much. Yup -- I'd do the works as long as I was guaranteed not to look like Joan Rivers.

Yes please. My eyelids hang down so far I have no depth perception. I bang my head a lot trying to look out the window and with car doors.

Insurance would probably pay for that but I'd want the under bags removed at the same time. Festoons, they are called. Festoons like balloon curtains!

The day I was done with my last chemo for ovarian cancer I made an appointment for a facelift.

Every woman friend of mine cheered me on the day of my COSMETIC Surgery as well as the people in the operating room. Before this, they had run marathons and had my face on coffee cups and t-shirts but this was the best time had by all.

I was bald and wore a ski cap and sunglasses to Baskin Robbins 4 days later. A couple of kids dropped their cones that summer day. I remember it all so fondly. I looked great after I was done. It was a bit before I needed it but it gathered up what was about to change.

Kim -- you should have them done, top and bottom. It may not cost so much since insurance will pay for the "tops". It wouldn't cost much more to have the "bottoms" done too.

It didn't hurt. The stitches kind of pulled for a week until they were removed and I looked like I'd been in a prize fight. In two weeks it was entirely gone except for one teensy bruise. I had just started a new job and when I accepted it, I said I had already planned and paid for a two-week vacation. I negotiated to have the time off without pay.

Ellie -- good for you! After what you went through, you deserved a "lift". My sister had cancer, went through really rigorous treatment and had her eyes lifted afterwards, too.

No, I have a fear of needles and knives. And I'm on dialysis 3 X a week, and actually looking forward to kidney tranmsplant surgery. I'm used to the way I look.

Kim my neighbor had her heavy eye lids fixed and her insurance paid for it. I believe if it interferes with your vision it's covered by most insurance.

I saw on Dr. Oz the bag removal was $3000-5000.00 I'm trying to save up for it. I work at a medical college, wish I could get a discount. I don't freak about pain.

I wear contacts. I bought glasses with clear glass so the frame would hide some of the bag. That's how bad they are. I don't dare cry or the bags will swell up an inch thick.

I already did the breast reduction in 1980. Best thing I ever did. Insurance paid all but the deductible. It really wasn't painful. It did itch when I was healing.

I'd do my nose. I broke it while I was in HS and it was never fixed. I'd like to get the "bump" off the bridge of my nose and maybe reshape it a bit. It's fine from the front but I don't like how it looks in profile.

Many women have it done and don't tell anyone. That is certainly their choice. Then when another woman brought it up in front of her as something on her wish list she got silence...or doesn't fez up when asked.I'm not sure how I feel about that. I guess it would depend on whether I was giving a woman helpful information or just fodder for gossip.

I used to count the movie stars that came on talk shows and denied ever having work done. Said they were deathly afraid of surgery etc.

They betrayed everyone as if they were born with special skin that never aged because they are stars and no one really believed them. It is sad that they didn't have any managers or friends around them that would tell them the truth and save them embarrassment.

I have fatty upper eyelids too and small cat-like eyes, so the eyelids make them even smaller. It might be nice to get that fixed, but no big whoop. It might become more of an issue when I get older.
