My friend is in the hospital

My basketball friend, whom I had her door locks fixed, was found unresponsive today after she failed to visit her husband in the nursing home. She was taken by ambulance to a hospital here and then transferred to Des Moines and is not expected to make it through the night. I am so shocked! She and I attended a game last Sunday and again Wednesday evening. Another friend had gone to a game with her on Tuesday. She led a busy life and had just bought a new car a couple of months ago. Please keep her and her family in your prayers.

Judy, my friend that rode in the ambulance with me said she is going to buy me a metal baking dish. She said when the ambulance here in town had their lights and siren on, they have a button on the dash that turns the signal lights green. Two of my fingers are numb because of the severed ulnar nerve. Will take 18 months to two years for that nerve to heal, if it ever does. The artery that was severed was a small artery and the surgeon just tied it off.

I have a "Friends in Need" list in my "Pray" app. I like to call out the name if possible, not that our Lord needs the prompt, I just like to do it.

Caroline, her name is Rosemary. Another friend and I are leaving for Des Moines to visit her for a couple of minutes. The ICU nurse said we could visit.

Gosh, what a terrible shock to you this must be. I have a hard time taking in surprising and unpleasant events and can imagine that your head must be spinning. I hope you had a safe trip and are able to see your friend before she passes. Yes, you and she are in my prayers.

Thanks for all the prayers. I felt better after getting a chance to tell her goodbye. As far as I know, she was removed from life support yesteday evening and is stil alive.
