Finally saw my family, today, for Sunday brunch, at Village Tavern.

Weird combination, but it worked for me.

Toasted Flatbread with applewood bacon, caramalized onions and gruyere cheese with a bowl of wonderful clam chowder.

Son, Parke, had his usual, grits and shrimp, PJR and my DIL, both, had omelets.

Lunch/brunch/dinner: do share!

I am having a carne asada torta and DH is having a carne asada burrito. Forgot to buy avocados, so there won't be any guacamole. It will still be good...DH is grilling the carne asada now. It smells soooooo good.

The flatbread sounds yummy!!

We had linguine with homemade meatballs tonight. DD is home from college and said she sure did miss my home cooked meals. Sweet words to a mother's ears. :-)

Where do they open,front,back or slip over your head?? I've been wearing the hanes sports bras,but i find they are too high,so i get out my trusty old seam ripper and remove the first 2 hook and eyes,then turn the corners down and tack in place on the sewing machine. I don't really have anything to put in a bra these days except a few dog ears left over from the mastectomy,and i don't wear anything at home most of the time.but when i go out i like to be covered. I did get the mastectomy bras,and the boobs to go in them,but i'm always hot,so less is more for me. kathi

Breakfast.....I had Uncle Sam Cereal with non-fat yogurt and not fat milk, some chopped pecans and an apple. DH had oat meal with non fat milk, dried blueberries and and some grapes.
Lunch was a turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread with cranberry sauce.
Thinking about what to have for dinner.
Probably more left over turkey and some tomatoes fresh from the garden....nearing the end of the tomatoes.
Your lunch and Parke's sound great to me....not a fan of omelets.
I made a clam souffle to have for dinner but it tastes like too bland, has too much butter in it and is going in the garbage. (But it was easy to make and has possibilites.)

We called out for an order! First time in a long time. We were and still are hauling in Christmas stuff.

DH had a Patty Melt and fries.
I had BLT and cup of Cream of Wild Rice soup.

I went to Appleby's since they do curb-side take out. One of the only non-fast-food places I can go with Callie in the car. I had a pecan crusted chicken salad with cranberries, pecans and bleu cheese crumbles. Mmmm.

For lunch I had leftover turkey 'n' dumplings I took to work. Dinner was McDonald's fries, cheeseburger and hot chocolate, ate/drank on the way home from work tonight.

Wheat puffs cereal for breakfast. Lunch was salad with nuts, fruits, and berries and ranch dressing. Supper was sardines and crackers and a grapefruit...weird, I know, but I live alone and I'm too tired to cook when I get home.

Breakfast-Just a bagel and butter. Would have LOVED an omlette.

Lunch-Vegetable soup. Threw in some garlic croutons to be different.

Dinner-Last of the turkey leftovers-turkey, stuffing and potatoes. Happy to be done with it!

Went out to dinner to Rey's, a local restaurant with New Orleans flair. My in-laws are visiting. I had a spinach salad with warm bacon dressing, bread, broiled salmon with asparagus. They all shared a dessert of Bananas Foster. I'm not much of a dessert person and... I was stuffed. Seems all we've done for the last few days is EAT!

Ribs and sauerkraut cooked in my new ducth oven.....it was wonderful! A Paula Deen recipe!

Baked salmon steaks seasoned with sea salt, pepper, lemon and olive oil. White rice with a little soya sauce. And fresh spinach cooked with olive oil and lemon. Yummers! And only 10 points! LOL
