Ah, I'm sorry to hear your husband has to face such challenges. My niece has CP and she is continuing to go through surgeries that may allow her to walk- she says thank goodness for the internet! Anyhow, have you ever considered walkie talkies? My parents live in a cell-phone poor area and they like to walk in the woods a lot so they got walkie talkies. They also use them to communicate between barn and house. Just another possible solution for when you have to replace your phone someday. Cheers!

I LOVE it! Works perfectly - nice to have high & extra low output. We spent a long time going back and forth between the Dacor and the Wolf. As far as outputs, they were about the same. The Wolf was $300 more expensive. Honestly, it came down to looks. I didn't love the way the Wolf looked. And I didn't like or want the red knobs (they would have looked terrible in my kitchen). I felt the Wolf was too industrial looking. I wanted the pro function, without the heavy pro look. The Dacor is softer.

Hi want to retire ... did, When I saw your subject line, I wondered whether you were giving up a landline (which, when we sign up for, we get assigned one) ... ... or wanting one for yourself for a cell phone/smartphone (but I assume that we get one assigned when we sign up there, as well). So - I guess the decision of others that you want to find the number of someone else without having to pay a fee is the fact of the matter.
