Dinner tonight was just cold cuts

I baked a apple pie for hubby & a cho. pie for me. I always make my own cho. pudding.

Patti, please take it easy. You don't want to be sick next week. That was so nice of your attorney.

I hope you are not getting too tired Patti! Really nice of your attorney to invite you for Thanksgiving. I am calling it quits for today and will hope to start out early in the morning. We had Alyssa here for 3 hours today so much fun. My supper was just tomato soup and grilled cheese.

Wow Patti. You made a wonderful impression on your lawyer. What a kind and thoughtful thing for him to offer.

I made hamburger patties. Hubby wanted his as a burger until he saw my plate with my patty with a touch of barbecue sauce on it. Mashed potatoes, creamed corn, rest of the boiled cabbage. sliced tomato. So he had the same.

Glenda opened her kitchen, today. Too windy to get out.

I made roast beef au jus on wheat pita, and homemade chicken and sausage gumbo, that neighbor brought me. Very good lunch, Glenda!

In oven I have cheese straws going, on top of stove white chili, and made rollo pretzel candy. DS is going to the hunting lodge for the weekend, after we lunch, and he'll have some good eats for the weekend.

I decided to just have leftovers tonight: stuffed pepper and mashed potatoes. And very few dishes to wash.

I wish a huge vacuum cleaner would come along and sweep up the 7 plus inches of snow outside my door.

Attended a cold and windy funeral today. Stopped off on the way home for a rib eye and baked potato.

What a nice young man your attorney is, Patti! Hope you have a good Thanksgiving along with everyone else at the Kitchen Table.

That was nice for your attorney to invite you for dinner tomorrow, I feel sorry for his wife, first time cooking a Tday feast & it is for 30 people. I sure hope she farmed out some of it.

We are having dried butter beans, turnip green, fried taters & cornbread. Main reason we are having such a big meal is that i need the cornbread for the dressin'

Hanukkah officially began over an hour ago (in my location) . We'll be having brisket with mushroom and onion gravy, potato latkes, roasted brussel sprouts, sauteed spinach, sweet cinnamon and walnut rugelach. I'll pull out some rolls I baked for tomorrow, too.

Rhizo, I've been having urges for latkes! I'm going to try to make some this weekend.

Oh Patti, that's a wonderful story for Thanksgiving. Thanks for sharing.

I got up this morning, waited for the weather to warm up enough so I could go outdside to cover up the outdoor faucets protecting from freezing weathers. What should be a 15 minutes chore, it was almost an hour for me. We've been having heavy rain, the ground was very soft. I had to be careful and avoid soft ground. I was stuck in the mud with my wheelchair once, had to call my neighbor to help me out of it. Lesson learned.

After taken care of that in the cold, I had a craving for some sort of a meal type casserole. So, I threw together what I had in the fridge and pantry into a casserole bowl. Then, into the oven it went. 35 mins. later, it came out as a Chicken Lasagna casserole. It was very tasty and certainly satisfied my craving of the day.

Tomorrow, I'd be dining at my sister's and her in-laws. It's always been a good and fun gathering.

I was out running errands & got home late. I brought Chick-fil-A sandwiches for us.

We had ham and cheese sandwiches.
We were busy loading the RV so we can leave in the morning.
We aren't having our Thanksgiving meal till Saturday when everyone can be there.

Patti take it easy and have a wonderful holiday.

5 guys for me, hubby, Kian and the bigger son and his girl..grabbed Jack in the Box for Kellan and Kamren after their baseball camp.

I made 3 pies this morning.
I have yet to bake World Peace Cookies.

Been in the kitchen all day prepping for TG. I nibbled alot throughout the day, so no room for dinner. Going to bed early so I can get a fresh and early start. Amazing at how much time is spent prepping a meal that will be consumed in less than an hour :(

We had salmon burgers sans buns, mashed potatoes and a great salad including freshly picked today tomatoes from my neighbor across the street.
I even had a tomato plant blooming but the green tomatoes aren't ripe yet. Maybe by Christmas.
