I just love black bears! Except the time when I was little and my parents told us kids to pile into the back of the family station wagon. What they failed to tell us was there was a 550+ pound black bear in the back of the car! A friend of my dad's killed it and it was gutted and sprawled out in the back of the station wagon. We kept screaming that it was still alive (steam was coming out of its mouth) and that it was moving. Even the family dog, a big dachshund who wasn't afraid of much of anything jumped in the front seat when he saw the bear. And people wonder why I'm so weird!

You are one lucky lady. I love to listen to his CD's. Would love to see him in concert. So how was it? Did you have great seats? Did he sing your favorites? That was a very nice gift from your daughter. I love the kind of gifts that you use and they are gone instead of trying to find a use for them or a place to display them. (Does that sound mean or ungrateful?) I just like consumables - too much "stuff" in my house now.

Thanks you all for the kinds thoughts. I am keeping the Halloween piece which is made on roclon or Black Out curtain material. And it works so nicely! It doesn't ravel. I don't know if I will frame it or make a wall hanging of it. I love doing pumpkins but these were the hardest I have ever done!!!It was really hard keeping them light in color. As to the auction, my friend gathers all of the donations and I do the rest and this time we had over 100 items and made almost $2,000 dollars. My three donations were done as separate items and made $35.00 I bid on this lovely old measuring (glass) cup with a metal lid fitted with a hand egg beater. It went for $42.00 - DH just about kicked me for not bidding higher, but that's to high for a do dad. I did get a beautiful crystal little bowl like candle holder with gold trim and beautiful poinsettia's around the bowl. It was part of a two piece set and the winner gave it to me after one of the other helpers told her I was bidding just to get it, that was so nice! And I came away with several other items. Anyway, my body hurts all over and I have stinky oysters in my fridge that I hope DS eats soon! Belle

Hi, here's an "old" photo of Adobe in our small, guest BR -- before it was finished. (I haven't been on the forum for a long time but have been wanting to post a few completed projects, one of which is a headboard and pillows for this bed. Maybe over this holiday break.) Adobe is such a soothing color. When I first read your post I was concerned at the color choices then I read on realized you're the one with the Moutarde and Pumpkin and you know what you're doing. :) Your dining room is one of my all-time favorites. Interestingly and if I recall correctly, Demifloyd has sort of a reverse color situation as your two current choices. She has Adobe in master BR and soft blue drapes. Adobe for a transition from the outdoors into a home seems dark to me, but it sounds like it would work if you have a good amount of light and your other EK colors are in adjoining rooms. Was Camel or another color along those lines too light for your foyer choice? A few quick thoughts...Have you considered playing up the architectural feature of your BR ceiling by doing something different, and I could see accessorizing your BR with a range of nature's neutrals, starting with ivory and going darker, to harmonize with all the blue.
