Beautiful here, and the leaves are coming down like rain! It's very windy!

Went to Niki's by the farmer's market. Not that hungry, and only had smoked sausage and kraut.

I decided to try Uncle Ben's Whole Grain Medley (quinoa and brown rice). I made turkey salisbury steaks to go over it. Also steamed normandy blend vegetables.

Glenda, our leaves are intact--for now. They usually don't fall off until it's almost spring. Depends on the kind of trees. Around here it's mostly oaks. The sun is out now and everything looks bright green. Hope you get your appetite back.

Shirley, did you like the whole grain medley? We tried quinoa and didn't like it. It was either the recipe I used or the cook! Well now, you don't want to get me started on the grandkids. They're all clever and brilliant! ;-)

Patti, Yes I was out cleaning up the yard with hubby. He has a bad leg & can't do it by himself. We will just do a little at a time. My last PT was Fri morning. I bet my surgeon would tie me down if he knew.

For dinner it was spag & italian sausage, hubby had a salad too.

Rained today & most of the leaves are off the trees because of the winds we have been having. Got to rest that leg.

Hubby will have to forage tonight. Leaving for Maui on Tuesday, so tomorrow will be a marathon cooking day. Spaghetti sauce, chicken and dumplings, beef stew and a huge meatloaf. Still haven't even packed. *sigh*

Hmmmm, haven't decided what we'll have, yet. Maybe shrimp and grits! I've got everything I need, plus some fresh fruit to have on the side with a lemon/honey yogurt sauce.

My supper was rather late for me so I just fixed some oatmeal and some buttered toast. Cleaning and getting food fixed for the meal tomorrow. Hope you get your taster back soon Patti.

Rhizo, I sure do love shrimp and grits. I want to thank you for your concern regarding my liquid diet. Both Boost and the Special K protein shakes are loaded with vitamins and minerals. I drink on an average of three a day along with soup and G2-type drinks. The doctors aren't concerned--as long as I'm gaining a little weight.

We had a busy day today. First, had to go get new phones (we still have to figure the danged things out), then we drove up to the mountains where I took that photo of the gazebo on the small lake. We will be shooting a 30 second commercial for a Doritos contest next weekend. First prize is ONE MILLION BUCKS! That location didn't work, so I will be scouting around for a wooded glen setting the rest of the week.
We took Bat with us, and he did MARVELOUS!

Really nice day here today. We went to Hobby lobby for the big sale and ended up buying a beautiful new Christmas tree. It is not at all like a regular fake tree, it has what looks like ice crystals on it, has red berries here and there and little pine cones, with white lights on it. We have wanted one to put in the atrium. We usually get a live tree for out there.

So we went around the corner to Hurricanes for their awesome wings. Yummy. The nice manager gave me 3 cards good for $10 off per visit. Good deal!

I fixed a hamburger casserole & a zucchini saute with onions & tomatoes.. Plus I was cooking for the family reunion tomorrow. Made a new style of strawberry pie that looks yummy....

No dinner here..had a late Wendy's run coming back into town from soaking wet football games..
Hubby's team lost by one. Kamren's team is going to the championship.
So three more days of practice...and final game next Saturday..I'm tired of football season..lol

If anyone gets hungry..there are sandwich fixings, hot dogs and some left overs.
