Don't you over do Patti. No I do not cook up extras for Wed. night. I did prepare my yeast roll dough and my cranberries today. Supper for me was a breaded tenderloin sandwich and some peas. I was going to eat some fruit but I got too full :)

I took the skins off some chicken thighs and made a big pot of chicken vegetable noodle soup. It's what I had for lunch and we'll have for supper. I'll surprise him with a piece of warm gingerbread later.

Glenda, those braised white beans with rosemary sound pretty fancy :-) They must be good because I think you've mentioned them before. I'd like to try them but I doubt I'd find them around here anyplace.

I have not prepared anything for the trip but I have been packing up the kitchen and food stuff I can, cannot do all the refrigerator stuff it has to wait of course. I have everything bought, lists of lists, and recipes, I think I have it fairly under control. I am just praying the weather will be lovely and dry.

Tonight I think will brats. I need quick and easy.

You take it easy, you're doing some cooking for the big day and I don't want you to undertake too much.

I breaded some pork chops, using bread and cornflake crumbs.
I boiled some cabbage and green beans, and mashed potatoes, using the last bit of my yogurt in place of the milk.

Finishing the last of the apple crostata that I made yesterday.

Patti, just listen what everyone is saying, take it easy. You don't want to be sick or tired all next week.

Right now we have light snow, just flurries but still very cold, just love the weather.

Dinner was BLT's. Having light dinner this week so the fridge will be ready for the leftovers.

Tony is grilling a London Broil. He has it marinating in one of the Jack Daniels marinades. Poor thing is having to wear his coat to do it! Also having steamed veggies & a baked potato!!!!

Jasdip, have you ever mixed cooked cabbage and mashed potatoes together? It's an Irish dish called Colcannon and I just love it. I've seen recipes for meat dredged in corn flakes but I've never tried it. Is it good?

Mary, know what you mean about cleaning out the frig. I did that yesterday so there will be room before most of it goes home with my daughter. You can keep that snow, BTW!!

Laura, great dinner tonight! My daughterwill be here Thursday and is very good about helping. She didn't even want me to cook since I can't eat it, but she also knows how much I love to do it. SIL and DGS are excellent cleaner-uppers!

Dinner tonight was french fries and crispy chicken patties.

I have a crumb apple slab in the oven for work tomorrow.

I have scrubbed all that needed scrubbing..just need to sweep..but I'll do that before work or at lunch.

Our guests should be arriving in the afternoon near the time I get off work.

I won a beautiful ham in a VFW raffle. Ham, eggs, hash browns and biscuits. I was gone for two weeks, came home with a terrible sinus infection and, pretty much, haven't cooked since I've been home. Hubby was happy!

we had to care for dgs so stopped at out fave corned beef place....

We ended up having baked dry rub chicken wings. And nothing else. I am glad homework is finished until next week. Whew, school is tough on my boy, but tougher on evenings. I miss him. I'm glad he's getting a good education, but sheesh, piles of homework nightly.

I got called in to work about 2pm & ended up staying until 9pm. Several of us were there trying to meet a deadline, so someone went & picked up dinner. I had a salad with grilled chicken. DH hadn't eaten when I called to let him know I was on my way, so I picked up something from Taco Bell for him.
