Hi joann, I can try to help, I have not ever messed with that 9" version of the Novel, I know it came with Android 2.0, have you been checking the pandigital site for firmware updates, I know the one I had there were firmware updates listed on the website. Since that novel does not come with android market loaded you will need other options for getting your apps, this is a good article with some options for you Google Android Market Alternatives and must have e-reader applications I would also get the getjar app so that you can get apps from there and the amazon app store app to get apps from there also. You will have to go into your settings and make sure you have checked to allow 3rd party or other app stores to install on your PDN. As to where it is storing your apps, I keep special apps on all of mine that let me select where to put each app I aquire, there is an option that lets you select to move app to SD card. I have not used android 2.0 in so long I am not sure where but there is that option in your android settings, If you do not have a file manager app that would be one thing to get so you can keep track of all your apps and downloads and have the ability to move them. I use Astro file manager mostly. The app called apptosd is one that will tell you with each app if it can be moved to the sd card that makes it very easy. There are several apps with that name app 2 sd most are pretty much the same this one here is on amazon market MoveApps - App 2 SD Free this is a different one at getjar APPtoSD Once you have made sure you have that setting set for allowing 3rd party apps you can go here to get the getjar app which will then allow you to download and install apps from there. GetJar app is available for download from here. click on that green here and it will take you to the install for that app store install that then you can access getjar for lots of great apps.(be sure you are doing this directly from the PDN browser and with a good full charge or plugged in) here is the one for amazon app store Go to this link follow it down to the bottom you see the green blocks to download and install the app. Download Amazon Appstore Android apk file: or you can click on the other block that says direct install either one will get you the amazon app store app then you can access the amazon app store for lots of apps. get the Dolphin HD web Browser via one of the alternative Android Markets and install the Youtube search plugin. Likely the people that are saying they are watching movies have downloaded movies to an SD card and are watching them that way it works very well for that. On some of the PDN's you could open the back and change out the stock mini SD card that came with it and put up to a 32GB one inside and then you of course can use up to a 32GB one externally. I do not know about that one you have. I fear you still have some of the infections still lingering and that could very well be interfering with your installation. I would suggest going to LzD and having Corrine look at your logs she will be able to see if any of the infection is still there and how to remove it. She is great at this she goes step by step as slow as you need. You would not want to risk having infections on it at any rate. no your passcode was set up by who ever set up your router so no one else would have that info. Please tell me what went wrong when you tried it? you do need to install the program on a computer that is using that wifi router. When you download and install that little program it will come up with the info that looks just like the picture on that page you got it from. Did you get that that to come up. Tell me exactly what happened and maybe I can help. It is a very small simple program so it should work. What version of windows are you using? xp? vista? 7? You need to get your lookbook somewhere that it can connect to wifi, it needs the 2 big updates, as soon as you connect to wifi it will come up saying it found updates it will do one then right after that it will do the second, those will make it work much better. don't give up!! It is just like a computer when you turn it off and on it has to boot up so yes it does take some time when going on and off it is loading the system. there is another way to get your passcode but it takes accessing the router and my guess is you do not have that password either. That is why that program is the best way to do it. Is there anyplace you know of that who ever set up your router might have written down this info? It is info that they knew would be very important to keep. Possibly on the router manual or something?

it could be a heat problem you did not mention if this is a desktop or laptop, if it is a desktop I would recommend turning it off disconnect all power from it, open the side of the case and look inside, if it has not been opened and cleaned in a long time my guess is it is full of dust bunnies, those dustbunnies can hold in the heat and heat will cause the pc to do what you are describing. To clean it out be sure you ground yourself by touching a metal portion of the back with one hand, you do not want to have any static charge happen that can damage things. You can use canned air to blow out a lot of the dust, do not use a big vacuum you can actually pull connections loose, I have a very small vac that I use on mine. to keep the fans from turning while you blow it out stick a pencil in to hold them in place. especially clean around the power supply area and all the fans. Here are a few links that might help understand how to do this. YOU can do this! It could also be a powersupply going out, the heat issues will exacerbate that. Replacing a power supply is a very easy task and should not cost that much to have done if you do not want to do it your self. I would recommend going with one or two steps larger than the one that was in it. The one thing I would like you to do, but I do not know what version of windows you have so I can not give your specific directions, is to go to the event viewer and look for red flags. In control panel look for administrative tools, there look for event viewer, select that, there will be various options go through each one open them and look for any red or yellow flags especially red ones, any red ones you see double click right on that line and it will provide an info box with codes and errors messages write those down and post back with them.
