Making pie crust from scratch takes a little practice, rolling it out just right also takes practice. The ingredients are simple though, you'll find plenty of recipes in cookbooks or even online.

I second schoolH. Pie crust does take a little practice. I wouldn't attempt it if I had company coming or for a pot luck at the church. Wait until you perfect your technique and buy premade for today. I use the the PB pie crust you put in your own pans but there also ones that are in a foil pan of their own and you just add your filling and bake. Both types are equally good. One is in the dairy case and one in the frozen foods dept.. You also have the graham cracker or choc. cookie crumb crusts over by the flour and sugar aisle. (of course Canada may have their stores arranged differently.) In your shoes, I would make it easy on myself.

My friend Ann_t from the cooking forum keeps after me that making pie crust is not that big a deal. A little flour and fat, not much loss to give it a try. So far I've still been skeptical and haven't had reason to try.

However, there's other options OJ. First the refrigerator crusts, or buy a graham cracker or a cookie crust. Better yet, make your own. They're easy and probably a lot tastier than a purchased crust or a dough crust on the recipe anyway.

Another option if you want the more "traditional" crust is pick out a pat-in-the-pan recipe that matches ingredients you have.

Otherwise, there's also a recipe for a crust that you make right in the pan, no rolling out or anything. Basically a variation of a pat-in-the-pan crust. I'll see if I can find the recipe. I'm sure I have it here somewhere.

Lastly, who says you must have a pie crust on it? It's basically a big brownie anyway. Doesn't seem to me to need the additional floury carbs. I'd do a cookie crust or do without if it were me.
