What's for dinner 11/18?

I'm still waiting to hear about Laurel (luckygardner) and Jasdip's get together. Should our ears be burning? :-)

Dinner tonight it baked porked chops, baked potatoes, cinnamon apples and corn. Black walnut ice cream in sugar cone cups for dessert.

I put in a roast, with potatoes and carrots in the crock pot this morning, it should be finished when I get home from work, will pick up dinner rolls on the way home from the bakery.For desert apple crisp.

I used the carcass of a Costco rotisserie chicken to make chicken and rice soup yesterday so today I added some left over sauerkraut and ham and it was very good. I also made some potato salad but was too full of soup to eat any.....Roy said it was good. He loves potato salad so I will have to try some tomorrow to see what it needs. I added some organically grown purple radishes and some sugar snap peas to it and some grated organic carrot. I love getting the CSA box!

Here I go, using KT recipes.... Jae tn's Wet burritos, cole slaw, and Pixiestix's Hot milk cake. The cake will have strawberries or peaches with it. We are also having beergaritas!! (Have you ever had the latter? Pretty good.)

Last night my SIL called and said she made up 2 plates of food for my sister and I. Grilled trout stuffed with orange slices, side of mixed rice and steamed broccoli. LOL She knows I am tired of cooking. My niece Samantha stopped by today carrying in one plate of food. She said that when she came home from work and saw the plates of food thought her Mom had left them for Sam and her sister so she ate one of them. When Shelley saw that she had eaten the food she started to cry because she promised it to us. LOL She made Sam come over to tell us. LOLOL I get to eat the fish and my sister said she will have cottage cheese and cherry tomatoes and potato chips. I offered her half of the fish because I could have made her up the same plate of food because I had left over lemon chicken rice in the fridge and I would have steamed some more broccoli. So I get to eat all the fish. Yum Fresh sliced peaches and cream for dessert. Off to reheat the food. Anne

I came home from a business meeting today and my next door neighbour (the one who is always giving us homemade rolls, muffins, and other baked goods), knocked on the door with some homemade soup.

It's ugly, wet, snowy weather here today, so the soup sounded good. I should have known. She likes it *fiery* hot!
Lots of jalepeno peppers. Good grief, my eyes were watering, and my throat burned.

The woman is 85 and doesn't get heartburn or anything. She loves her food hot and spicy. We couldn't eat it all...:(

Oh my that ice cream sounds good! Even as cold as it is here! (windchill was 5 degrees earlier this afternoon)

Deboned chicken stuffed with crawfish Jambalaya they are so darn good. It is baking in the oven and smelling good. We get them from La Boucherie they have some great stuff.
