Last year, we got the girls the game for PS2 and one dance pad. They have used this all year. I want to get another dance pad and move the action to the family room where I think I will use it too.

My questions Â We are getting the Wii for Christmas this year. I saw that they have a DDR for the Wii. Should I get that? Would the dance pad for PS2 work on the Wii? Should I just get a second pad for PS2 and call it a day? Currently, the PS2 lives in my daughterÂs bedroom Â it was a BD gift to her several years ago so there are sharing conflicts from time-to-time. The Wii will be a family gift and live in the family room.

Isn't Wii made by Nintendo and PS by Sony? I would doubt very much that it would work for Wii! And if you got one for Wii, you would need to by the dvd too. It would be cheaper to buy just the one knew pad for the PS2 I'd think! lol
but,,,,,,," sharing conflicts from time-to-time" so get the whole new system for the Wii!

DDR is the best video game ever. It gets kids moving. Whatever you do, test it out and make sure it's compatible. Perhaps contact the manufacturer.

Well, I just load them on my laptop. I have some 11,000 pictures and from the laptop they can easily be uploaded up here on the forum. My laptop has Window's Live Photo Gallery which for me works perfectly. Even if I take them off of my computer they still stay on the forum. Of course, I only keep on the computer the ones I would like to use or view again, the rest are deleted. In the past I used Picasa but they too have changed and are no longer user friendly. I have found that if I inadvertently moved around any of my pictures in my Picasa albums that they then disappeared from the forum, so I no longer post or actually use Picasa but a good many of my photos are still being stored there but I also have them on my computer I don't download music or movies on my computer so all of my available storage goes for my pictures and emails. Wii or Kinects? or something else?

If you want active, Kinect is the way to go! My son and his wife have one and my granddaughter played it while we were down there for Christmas. Wow! It had her moving every direction you can think of! Of course, different games are going to have different activity levels, but this was with a game that came with the system. That bit that someone mentioned about Kinect reading the whole room.. it does read whatever the person that is playing (or people, as there are multi person games) while Wii reads the controller that the person is playing.

:-) Wildchild... I know exactly what you mean. The reason a person might enjoy the activity isn't important to me- just knowing that people in their age bracket typically enjoy the activity is enough. Most surveys only focus on a very small age/development range because it can be so hard to look across the age ranges. The problem with different surveys for different groups is that you have low reliability and validity for assessing them as parts of a family group. If I can develop a survey that is of the same design and essentially the same questions, I might be able to overcome this hurdle. (or at least i can make it through the dissertation process!). thanks to all of you who have completed and/or offered suggestions here. Five people have completed the survey so far. I will share the scores after the weekend. thanks all!

Hi, Heather ... thanks for letting me know how you're doing with it, I'm naturally a bit leary (I rarely even take an aspirin!) when I read the pamphlet that says what all could result. I haven't gone to a forum for Femara users yet, to read any success stories ... while waiting for my test result I made the mistake of going to a forum for the type of Chemotherapy he was going to put me on, and the stuff I read just upset me too much. It *is* expensive! I know the number was $350, can't remember if that's the three-month supply or just the single month. Thank heavens for insurance, which is the only reason I can have it. I am doing the Calcium/vitamin D tablets, I already have somem osteo signs, as well as slight arthritis. So we want to keep them from getting any worse.

I don't think the Wii would be compatible with the PS2 pad. My DS has a Wii. It is so cool. I would get the DDR for the Wii and the pad.

Is a 14 year old too old for DDR? Or do you think she'd have fun with it? We got an xbox 360 for the kids for Christmas, and I saw that DDR2 Universal comes out on 12/5/07 and you can download new songs for the game too. Do you think that she is too old to have fun with that?

Mickey - my DD is 14 (almost 15) and she still likes the DDR. Actually so does her male cousin who is 16. They have a lot of fun with it.

Thanks Angela, I just went to Best Buy and pre-ordered it. It says it should be here by 12/8/07.
(don't tell! but I think I'll try it when nobody is home to watch me! LOL!)
