Slow cooked a beef stew and chicken cacciatore last night, so one or the other

Flounder, mac n'cheese, roasted cauliflower and salad with Artisan bread.

Picked up some nice Rib Eyes which we will grill and some roasted corn on the cob to go with it. Easy meal. My husband loves steak but in the past couple of years I have really lost my desire for it. So I always have about half of mine left over to slice up with cheese and use for a lunch fajita the next day.

I had a nice big salad with sliced turkey for lunch which would have been my dinner but I'm going out to play bridge tonight and need an easy to go dinner so it will just be a ham and cheese sandwich. I made bread and butter pickles today so think I will top my sandwich with that.

We had some leftover stew that Mom sent home from being at their place on Halloween.
Because it's easy to grate frozen butter, I whipped up a batch of biscuits to go with the stew.

I had to take a pic of the remaining 2! :-)

Usually I roll my dough out, today I patted it out, quite thick.

Hubby's making his long-cooking spaghetti sauce with meatballs and sausage. We're having it with spinach raviolis.

Why or why did I think the canned Chicken Chow Mein would taste any different than it always tastes? YUCK. All I tasted was salt, no veggies and I'm still hungry.

I'll be picking at food the rest of the night.

Aw, schoolhouse. I loved that chow mein when I was young. Haven't had it for years, but I would bet it is too salty.

Jasdip, those biscuits are AWESOME! Is that the recipe you posted on the "I'll Share" thread a while back? I saved it and will definitely try to make biscuits again, if it is. (And I love that yellow and reddish bottle in the background.)

Glenda, is that peanut butter better than JIF?

I just pulled a chuck roast out of the oven...it's resting..and I just smashed the garlic and onions into a gravy. It's very tasty..new recipe...yummm

I'll toss some polenta (leftovers)..add a touch of water to smooth into the oven to warm and then some satued spinach I think...

Of course we won't be eating until much later..#2 has a band concert at 7:30 and left for football practice at 5:30 with Coach Dad..I'll go grab him at 6:45, to shower and change..and then off to his school...

Patti, those are absolutely my biscuits that I posted a while back. I think it was SalGal who was terrified of making them.
Believe me, they're foolproof!

I have 3 bottles of oil there. The one that's turned around, on the left has my olive oil, the rectangular one in the middle has my veggie oil. The yellow and red one is currently empty, because I bought a new spout, and I have to find a little cap on it, so the dust doesn't get in. I'm thinking of putting Sunflower oil in it. I bought a bottle recently cause it was so cheap, and I think it's good for cooking at high temps.
