Well here's a story for you...I take a glass of ice water to bed with me every night, my cat has free roam of the house and He woke me up one night drinking out of my glass. Now I wonder just how many times I have picked up that glass during the night or in the early morning and been drinking after than danged cat....I have seen him do it many times since then...now I take a bottle of water to bed with me.

I understand the fur and furballs.....Oh my Gawd the barged up furballs.

LOL!!!! We have 3 very large, very long haired furballs in the house and care for 6 semi ferals outside.....cat fur is a food group here!

I wonder if it has any remedial qualities??? We could bottle the stuff and sell it....along with snake oil.....

Hope you don't cough up fur balls like the cat does!

He doesn't normally - short hair - but I do have olive oil ready if I need it! Or a tub of Becel (good for the heart)...

Ruthie, one of my previous cats did that all the time. The only way Timmy drank water was out of my glass....but he never caught anything from me!

If I take a glass of water to bed with me, I always set a saucer on top of the glass.

Just a few weeks ago I was enjoying a nice cup of hot coffee. I waited all day for that coffee and it was really good. I put it on the little side table, my cat jumped on the arm of the couch and proceeded to stir my coffee with her tail! I don't know who was more shocked me or the cat LOL So much for that coffee and that was the last of my coffee too.

Thank you Cherryfizz. I'm so happy to mentally be back. It's been a wee bit of a haul last year.

I've missed everyone but first did not have internet out here. Now that I do and I'm on the home stretch I happy to be back - sooooo happy.

gardendoll...So we all sat down to a BIG turkey dinner. When I helped clear the dishes and rounded the corner into the kitchen, Kippy was on the counter licking the turkey! :0) My mom said, glad everyone was done eating....

I'd wake up and hear licklicklicklick, and figured my cat was cleaning herself. Here she was drinking out of my glass, and I wonder how many times I have drank after her? She now gets her very own coffee cup full every night, on the floor! :)

LOL Cats....don't you just love them?! I tell folks that I rarely wear jewlery anymore....I wear animal fur....it goes with everything. (I'm usually covered in it lol)

With 3 kitties in the house.. fur balls are a way of life... I sweep the floors twice a day, but still lots of fur.... and that's okay... I don't bring water to bed with me...so that's not an issue.. but I have stepped on one of those cold wet barf balls in the night... yuuuuuuuukkkk...hop hop hop .. and then looking to be sure it was a barf ball and not from the other end... yannowhatimean.??

When I was in my 20s and living in Wash. D.C., I spent a Christmas at a friend's mother's home in Bronxville, N.Y. I brought my cat along with me. Jane and I kept rolling our eyes because it was a very stuffy, proper atmosphere. We ate by candlelight and in the middle of dinner we heard the clatter of dishes. My cat had jumped up on the sideboard to taste the food. Jane and I laughed so hard. We laughed about that for another 15 years until Jane died of cancer.

Reason #25 I don't have inside pets. You definitely got me to look though. :)

I thought my cats stayed away from the kitchen counters, etc., until I bought my new stove. It's a gas range with black glass under the big grates, and the first morning I noticed little cat paw prints all over the glass. Ah, the things that go on at night.......

Having had cats (and dogs) all of my life and still do, I am sitting here laughing. No outfit is complete without cat/dog hair, and any hair in foods or beverages can be strained between your teeth. LOL I love the idea that "cat hair is a food group". I'm sure I have consumed a lot of cat/dog hair over all these years, and I've yet to cough up a fur ball. LOL
